He walked over to where I stood in three long strides, looking as if he had just seen a long-lost friend. I was suddenly conscious of how I looked but he had already reached me before I could do anything.
“f**k. Did you get into a fight? Why is your hair looking like that?” His eyes scanned me, lips pressing into a thin line, but there was no real concern in his voice.
“What do you want Finn?” My voice felt strange, my throat raw with a reminder of Caden’s ministrations. I didn’t have the strength to argue with Finn right now. I just wanted to get home, take a hot bath, and curl up in bed.
He let out a sigh, then brought his phone out of his pocket, raising it in my face. “You’ve not been answering my calls and texts. This… ignoring me thing? Doesn't help.”
