The following morning, I awoke and went to the kitchen while my wife slept. Claire was making Aiden’s breakfast when I arrived.
“Claire, I’m in need of your help.”
“Can you tell me what it is, Alpha?”
My companion does not consume anything. Whatever she consumes is purged. She hasn’t had a satisfying meal in a long time."
“Is Mum expecting, Father?” I rubbed my temples.
“Yeah, I almost forgot.” Claire leaped up to embrace me, and with a “Ho,” I returned the embrace.
