ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Barbara Lund’s novel Speaker for the People won second place in the science fiction/fantasy category of the 2015 Zebulon contest sponsored by Pikes Peak Writers. (The novel has since been renamed and published as Space, Lies, Syndicate.)
Since then, she has won three Silver Honorable Mentions and two Honorable Mentions in the Writers of the Future Contest. She has five indie-published novels and dozens of short stories and has been traditionally published in Daily Science Fiction. Add a husband, two kids, a dog, and a martial-arts obsession, and she keeps pretty busy.

ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR
Will Knight is a Los Angeles–based artist influenced by ancient history, the textures of suburban life, and cognitive research. He graduated with a BFA from ArtCenter College of Design in 2016 and began exhibiting his work in group shows and working in advertising. Working primarily with figuration, Will paints the world around him with the intention of respectfully presenting the plights and triumphs of his subjects.
