Chapter Four
Immediately after Christopher and Diana were wed, they postponed their honeymoon for a day to see Alice off from Heathrow to her new school in Switzerland. Both of the older adults were surprisingly emotional at the parting, and the young blonde was surprised to cry a bit herself at the parting. Diana had initiated a serious conversation between the three of them the final night their niece spent in Chris’ house. Her trepidations about her future were drawn forth skillfully and with kind understanding. The adults promised the worried young woman that if she were genuinely miserable at school she would always have a sanctuary under their roof, which was enormously reassuring to Alice.
