Perhaps I am a coward, and I'll take that title with my head held high. I just couldn't face my mother and father and tell them that their dreams for me were not what I wanted for myself. I couldn't bare the thought of knowing that I was going against everything they wanted. I know my happiness comes first but it doesn't make it any easier to walk away from your family. I know how they are, they wouldn't listen to me and they'd disown me. I didn't want the last memory of my parents and I to be one of anger and disgust as they disown me. I wanted it to be of us laughing and having a great time as they showered me with gifts and love as we spoke about every topic under the sun.
