We arrived at the dense green forest, a few miles away from the quad's house, and we got out of the car. I was panting hard and feeling a lot of pain in my spine.
“It’s okay, Dove. Don’t fight it… Just let it take over,” Dominic’s words made complete sense to me, but my body wasn’t ready for the shift. I gave myself a pep talk before crouching on the ground by following my instincts, but still nothing happened. I looked at Dominic through blurry vision, and he nodded his head like he understood my plea before voicing it.
