Chapter 10

1170 Words
Kaycee I sat at the bar outside on the patio while Derek made margaritas. He didn’t say anything, but he kept looking over at me and our eyes would lock. I felt that feeling of him undressing me with his eyes again, yet he wouldn’t even break eye contact. I clenched my thighs together, my heart sank deep in to my stomach. He made me nervous. I don’t know how to deal with these kinds of feelings. I felt breathless yet I haven’t even talked. I watched Derek as he moved around so smoothly behind the bar. His extremely tight black shirt made it so I could see every curve of his beautifully sculpted body. His thick sexy buff arms stretched the material of his shirt to the max and I enjoyed every bit of it. My gaze trailed to his huge chest that looked like it would be rock hard to the touch, you could tell he probably had an eight pack of abs if that was even a thing. I now found myself starting to undress him with my eyes when Blake came out, interrupting my fantasizing thoughts. Fantasizing? Me? I never thought I’d feel this way about any man EVER. Though I will admit it is nice being distracted, not worrying or being scared. I’ve never felt peace before and it is a welcoming feeling. “What are you barbecuing? Smells great.” Blake asked Jaden as he walked closer to him. It does smell great. I hadn’t even noticed, I was too distracted by this sexy bartender. Sexy bartender? I can’t believe those words popped in my head. I gotta get away from him before I end up saying something out loud or worse I start drooling. I turned on the bar stool to hop off. “Where are you going? Drinks are just about done.” Derek asked. Gosh his voice was even sexy. I turn back around, freezing as our eyes make contact again. Gathering everything I have in me before responding, not wanting him to know he has an affect on me. “To go talk to the guys and see what they are cooking up.” I replied a little more breathless than I would of liked. He didn’t break the eye contact while he continued to pour the drinks. “Here, before you go.” He said sliding a small iced margarita with salt and lime on the rim. I’ve never had alcohol before, I’d like to try it, but I don’t want to cause Blake any more stress, so I’ll just bring this one to him. “Thank you.” I said and smiled sweetly before turning off the stool to go give Blake the drink. “I don’t know, I don’t think they have a chance any more since their quarterback got hurt.” I over hear Jaden saying. They are talking football. I love this my heart squeezed a little inside. I hand Blake the drink. “Thanks Kace.” He said and took a sip. He made a face that told me the drink was strong. I looked back at Derek. That drink was suppose to be for me. Was he trying to get me drunk? His looked angered, I am guessing its because I gave my drink away. He turned around for a brief second before walking our way with three more drinks in his hands. Oh boy. He hands Jaden his and starts to give me one. “Um no, I said no alcohol.” Blake said in a serious tone as he stared Derek down. “Really? Come on you are the one that keeps saying she’s had a rough life, don’t you think she deserves to live a little and relax?” Derek asked in a calm smooth tone. "Dude, it’s the first day and you are already trying to get her drunk? She’s 19, she doesn’t need to drink.” Blake says not hiding his annoyance. Derek’s clenched jaw told me he was annoyed now. Getting ready to respond when Jaden interrupts. “Look he’s right Derek, it’s their first day here. Let him get settled and feel comfortable around us first. He’s not going to be able to relax himself if he feels he has to watch Kaycee.” Hearing him say my name gave me butterflies. “Whatever.” Derek replied. Chugging and finishing one drink in hand before he starts to sip the other while walking back to the bar. “Thanks man.” Blake says to Jaden as he sips his drink. I don’t even know what to say at this point so I start walking toward the large pool and jacuzzi. It was a huge rectangle shape with a large square jacuzzi at one of the ends. It is mesmerizing to look at. I don’t know how to swim, but it looks like it would be so much fun especially on a hot day; I bet it would be amazing. It was a cooler evening, I’d probably have to change in to pants pretty soon but right now I still wanted to feel the water. Going to the edge of the pool I sit down before putting my feet in the water. It feels amazingly warm, just a little under bath water temp. I close my eyes trying to release the tension from that conversation that just took place. 15 minutes later Jaden called that dinner was done. We sat at the outdoor dining table. There was a heating lamp that I sat under, it was nice and toasty. Ribs, mac n cheese, and corn on the cob was for dinner. This is the best dinner I’ve ever had. So tasty I dive right in to the ribs, they are so tender and falling off the bone, I moan a little taking my first bite, closing my eyes to savor it. Opening my eyes I see all three guys are staring at me. I knew I had barbecue sauce all over my face, I turn tomato red. I can’t believe they just saw that. Jaden licked his lips staring me down like he wanted to eat me and I felt my panties get wet. How am I embarrassed and turned on at the same time? I feel a fire gaze staring at me, looking over at Derek who looked like an animal or beast waiting to eat it’s pray. So fierce and sexy I couldn’t break the eye contact, my heart almost beating out of my chest. “Wow.” Blake broke the intense silence. I looked at him and started breaking out laughing so embarrassed yet turned on? Not knowing what to do with all these emotions. My face turning even redder. I look at all of them again, they have grins on their faces. Blake shook his head and started eating his food. We all did and I made sure to keep my noises to myself. What an awkward first dinner, way to go Kaycee.
