(Amber's Pov)

The mating balls were filled with different pack members. Everyone was putting on their best clothes looking so colorful.

There were so many activities going on. I sat down at a corner watching them all laughing. I enjoyed the scenes.

People that saw me never sat close to me. They are deserted as if I was carrying a deadly disease.

"I thought we told you not to come here?" I heard a voice from behind. I turned around and I saw Chelsea.

"But there was nothing to do at home, so I decided to come out here to watch," I replied.

She poured her drink on me and slapped me. "How dare you?!" She bellowed.

This got the attention of people but I never expected that they would laugh at me.

I perceived a strong aura that made me turn around to know where it was coming from. Behold, Alpha Joakim was standing and watching us.

Immediately my eyes caught his, I felt a spark in me. My wolf jumped, 'Mate!'

"Mate?" I asked.

"Mate," He replied.

"What is happening here? I….is sh….she you...your my..mate?" Chelsea stammered.

"Yes," he replied.

I was happy that he didn't deny me. It gave me more courage to talk to him but I never knew that my happiness would turn sour soon.

"Please, take me as your Luna" I pleaded with a smile on my face. I could see Chelsea frowning, and it gladdened my heart.

"No! No! You can't be my mate!" He yelled. I became confused.

"She is an omega, can't you see?" Chelsea encouraged him.

"You are looking so tattered, unkempt and ugly. You can't be my Luna" he blurted.

At this point, my heart was beating so fast. I felt someone pounding on my head. I couldn't explain how I felt but my mouth went sour.

"I, Joakim Shells, reject you, Amber Murdock, to be my Luna!" He growled.

Everyone present in the mating ceremony began to laugh at me to scorn. I felt embarrassed and humiliated. I held back my tears so that I won't show my weakness.

"I, Amber Murdock accept your rejection" I said and ran out of the mating ball in shame.

That was the height of embarrassment I have ever faced. I ran to a bar and ordered for aquiline drink so that I will be able to forget the torture I went through.

I poured the drink into my mouth immediately and requested for more. The waitress brought 5 dwarf glass cups filled with drinks.

I gulped them down immediately without delay. My eyes became blurry and my head was becoming light.

I was becoming dizzy. A man who was sitting adjacent to me walked up to me closer and stopped me from taking more.

"You are harming yourself, young girl," he said.

"Allow me to harm myself because I don't know why I am still living" I snorted.

He tried to advise me but I was not paying any attention. "I want to lay on my bed" I whispered.

He took by my hands and guided me through till we got to a room. I quickly fell on the bed, about to doze off but his aura was so strong that I had a one night stand with him and he marked me.

The next morning, I woke up on a very big bed but there was nobody with me. I quickly got out of the guest room and found my way to the pack.

I sneaked into the room and thought of what the whole outcome would be. 'I shouldn't have gone to the mating ball if I knew that I would be rejected. Now even if I will be killed in this pack because of my behavior, nobody will be here to save me"

I moved to the pack to do my chores but Chelsea saw me. She called her parents. I was already scared because I don't know what will happen next.

"Where are you coming from?" The Alpha asked.

I was about to answer when I felt something heavy land on my head and I passed out.

I opened my eyes from what seemed like a deep sleep. The whole place was dark and quiet. I moved my hands around on the floor to know where I was.

I recalled the last thing that happened. I was still lying on the kitchen floor. I managed to stand and staggered to the door where the switch was. Immediately I put on the light, I saw my blood on the floor.

I touched my head and noticed I was seriously injured. I began to scrub the whole kitchen. I have been unconscious since morning till night.

After some weeks, I started feeling sick. The pack doctor was sent to check me. That was the only good thing they have done for me.

The doctor confirmed that I was pregnant. I was speechless because I can't remember sleeping with any man.

I was humiliated, embarrassed and treated badly. Chelsea spread the whole news to the pack members including her friends.

"Pregnant Omega. So you wanted me to make you my Luna, whereas you can't keep your body in a place" Alpha Joakim said, those words pierced through my skin.

"Tell us where you got this pregnancy!" My aunt yelled.

"I don't know, I think the doctor made a mistake" I babbled.

"Really? So doctors now make mistakes, huh?!" My uncle growled.

I felt two hot slaps on my cheeks. My teeth giggled inside my mouth. I thought they were almost gone.

"Listen attentively! We will no longer accommodate you in this pack. You have to bear this shame alone. People are talking about us everywhere. You have to leave" my uncle stated clearly.

It was very obvious that I will have to go out there and survive on my own.

Very early the next morning, I woke up before everyone and packed my bag. I left the pack without knowing where I was going.

Suddenly, rogues began to chase me.
