Nielecki shrugged again. "I have no opinion one way or the other. But if he has told who stole the lists..."
"He hasn't," said Frewin coldly. "I said he telephoned and talked about it. He telephoned and said he knew who had stolen the lists; that maybe someone would give him some money for the information."
"I see...." Nielecki continued to look at the floor.
"So you will realise," said Frewin, "that it will be to your advantage to continue to mind your own business. My advice to you is to confine yourself to your work and to forget everything else."
