Chapter 3:

Cole Mansion,Morning ••

The mansion stood in the middle of the city, it's brick fence so high that if too close can't see the house.

The huge black gate exceptional too as it look classic.

Two guards stood at position outside the gate, the compound is not excluded as four guards stood at each corner of the compound.

The house interior is one to tell about, a crystal chandelier stood magnifecently in the middle of the room.

Cole walked down through the stairs on just a short and a singlet.

The maids who are arranging the living room stood straight as they heard his footsteps.

His eyes are glued to his phone as he tapped on it.

"Morning sir "The maids chorused and he looked up from his phone

He nod and his eyes landed on his twins Nanny and he raised his brow.

He checked the time which is past 7 already and he turned to her.

"Are my twins in school already? " He questioned

"No sir, they refused to attend school today "She said and Cole sighed

"Where are they? "He asked as he turned

"In their room sir" The Nanny replied as he climbed the stairs

"Tell the headmaster to prepare pastor for me" He instructed before going out of sight

He stopped in front of their door and sighed before placing a knock at the door

He pushed it open walking in and he met the twins on the bed.

They are both placing a video game and they looked up.

"Morning Dad" Dexter greeted cheerfully and Liam dropped the game pad as he ran to hug him

"How are you boys doing today? "He said as he squatted before them

"We're doing good dad, come "Liam said as he dragged him to the bed making him sit

"Renata said you two refuse to attend school"He said

"Yes, that's true" Dexter said sitting upright on the bed

"Why is that? " He said glancing at him

"Cos we'll get bullied again " Liam muttered

"Excuse me brother, point if correction you not me"Dexter said sitting beside Cole

"Bullied?, why" Cole asked his expression changing

"Cos we don't have a mother dad, every single kid in the school has a mother but we don't "Liam said in a cracked voice and Cole's expression softened

"Oh please, no crying "Dexter sighed

"Don't get moved by those..."

"Where's our Mother" Dexter deadpanned cutting him shut and Cole sighed as he looked from Dexter to Liam

"Your mother is dead" His voice came in a whisper

"Then remarry dad, at least we'll have someone to call mother " Liam said

"Enough of this talk boys, get dressed I'm taking you two to school " Cole said walking out of the room

Liam sighed as he glanced at Dexter who kept a straight face.

"I don't believe that" Dexter said

"I don't believe him too, if mother is dead why isn't there any picture of her in the whole house "Liam muttered

"Let's go get ready, don't keep dad waiting" Dexter mumbled as he climbed down the bed and Liam followed

Lyla's Lodge ••

Lyla rolled in the bed to each end still sleeping sweats formed in her forehead as she winced unconsciously.

In her subconscious, She's sitting beside her sick mother who is on the sickbed.

She's holding her hand as she cried slowly.

"Lyla" She heard and she looked up with tears in her eyes to see Her mother eyes opened

"Mom" She gasped as tears rolled down her eyes

"Stop crying, you just gave birth" Her mother hushed and tears poured more from her eyes

"My twins were taken" She weeped as she held her mother's hand tightly

Her mother closed her eyes before opening them.

"Lyla, you've done well, despite them being a result of a one night stand, you refused to abort the pregnancy that's the main thing " The woman said weakly

"Mom" Lyla wailed burying her face on the bed

"You're indeed a strong lady, take care of Jerome " She said as her head dropped on the bed a ND she stopped breathing

Lyla stopped crying as she looked up slowly.

"Mom" She shook her but got no reply

She checked her pulse but everything seized and her eyes widened.

"No " She muttered fearfully standing up

"Doctor" She yelled running out of the ward

She came back with a man who immediate went to check on her mother.

He sighed sadly before looking at her.

"I'm sorry but she's gone" He dropped the bombshell and Lyla gasped as she held her mouth

"Mother, no" She cried as the nurses came and dragged her out

"No! " She wailed watching from the door as the nurses took off the oxygen from her mother and covering her with a cloth

"No! " She yelled and she woke up from her sleep

She has trace of tears in her eyes and she sighed as she wiped them.

Her eyes went to the wall clock and saw it's 12pm and she exhaled, she still have two hours before her next work.

She climb down from the bed stretching her body and yawning.

Her stomach rumbled and she held it.

"Hunger mode" She muttered as she walked out of the room.

Reaching the living room she met a lady's bag on the couch and she raised her brow.

"Did Jerome bring a girl? " She smirked as she walked toward the kitchen

She could perceive oil stew Aroma and she wondered.

She stopped at the door peeping in and she saw a lady backside.

Without doubting she knows who it is already.

"Guess I have a chef in my lodge today " She smirked resting on the door frame making the lady turn

May smiled when she saw her and Lyla chuckled.

"Lyla darling " She squealed as she walked to the sink

"When did you arrive" Lyla asked as she walked further inside

May turned on the tap as she washed her hand.

"Thirty minutes ago, i have three free days, so get ready for me" May winked as she closed the tap before drying her hands with a towel

"You're very welcomed, seeing the bag outside I thought Jerome brought a lady home " Lyla said rest her hands on the bin

"Nahh, my Mr Handsome won't dare betray me, I'm his" May winked and Lyla scoffed

"Somehow you look serious with this your Mr Handsome making me wonder if you're really serious " Lyla said and May chuckled

"What are you cooking " Lyla asked

"I'm cooking Vawulence" May joked and Lyla glared

"Fish stew with boiled rice on the way baby" May said opening the pot

"Still hearing from Uncle? " May asked as she stir the stew

Lyla took a plate before walking to her.

"Please don't talk about that man" Lyla muttered as she took the spoon from her scooping some soup into the plate before sitting down in a stool

"Heard he's getting married next month " May told her and Lyla looked up slowly

"Good for him " She muttered before turning back to her plate of stew

May could see sadness in her eyes and she sighed.

"Lyla" She called as she dragged a stool out sitting beside her

"I know you're pained, I know what he did to you two is unforgivable, but please forget about him, he doesn't give a f*ck about you and Jerome, keep the same energy don't let him see you as a weakling " She said and Lyla looked up tears gathering in her eyes already.

"Mom died because of his maltreatment, he never cared about how mom was doing which lead to her heart failure" She lamented as tears dropped from her eyes

"Lyla" May muttered as she saw her tears

"Why am I even criying, he isn't my father anyway " Lyla wiped her tears

"Forget this, let's eat " May stood from the stool as she dropped the pot from the cooker

Lyla sighed as he thought of her father and she waved the thought off.

Airport••

Cole's stood by his car with a nose mask and a face cap on as he glance at his phone at intervals.

It's a private Airport and the people present are all reporters

"Attention, Flight Mar 11 incoming " A voice blared round the whole Airport and Cole looked up

An Aeroplane approached the Airport and Cole sighed before walking closer to where the reporters are.

Minutes later the Aeroplane landed and A guy with a jet black dyed hair came out.

Camera flash filled the areas as they took shot of him and he waved at them.

He's Sabestian Stan, the most popular Actor in the states and Cole's best friend .

He came down from the Aeroplane and the Reporters gathered round him already almost choking him.

"Mr Cole, how was your Vacation in Europe " One of the reporters asked stretching her microphone to him

"Well, Europe was friendly to me I enjoyed it" He replied

"Are we expecting a movie soon" One asked

"Well I can't say it depends " He replied feeling uncomfortable already

Cole saw that and he chuckled as he watched him struggling with the crowd.

"God, why did I refuse my guards" Sabestian muttered

A car stopped when Arthur came down with some men and they walked to where Sebastian is with the reporters.

"Mr Sabestian " Arthur called and Sebastian exhaled as he saw him

"We're taking you home" Arthur said

"Thank Goodness " Sabestian sighed

"Clear please, the interview is ending " Arthur said as the bodyguards made way through the crowd

Arthur led him to a waiting Limousine and he entered.

"Gosh, they almost killed me" He sighed out and Arthur entered the passenger seat

"Where's Cole " Sabestian asked

The door opened and Cole entered.

"Welcome home blood" Cole said as he took off bus disguise

"Dude" Sabestian said as they fist bumped

"How is Europe" Cole inquired

"Full of fun, European butches are too hot" Sabestian said and Cole scoffed

"You don't get tired of screwing ladies do you" Cole muttered

"You're insane " He muttered before turning to the driver

"Drive " He instructed the driver who drove off immediately

Restaurant ••

Lyla stood by the vending machine as she served the kids who are in a straight line.

She's so carefree to them reason why they love her.

Hours passed and she finished serving them all.

She sighed as she took off her apron and washing some utensils.

A car stopped And Liam jumped out with Dexter.

"Lyla " Liam called and Lyla looked up to see the twins coming

"Cuties " She squatted spreading her arms and they ran into her arms

She looked to the car and saw Renata coming.

"How are you two doing " She asked as they broke the hug

"Good, we came yesterday but you weren't here, why " Dexter said and she smiled

"Yesterday was my day off that's the reason, didn't know you two will be coming " She said as she stood up

"How are you doing ma'am Renata " She smiled as she shared a hug with her

"I'm good, you're glowing lately " Renata said and Lyla smiled

"Lyla we want Vanilla cream mixed with Chocolate " Liam said and Lyla smiled

At the far end of the road is some of Cole's guard with Arthur as he took shots of them.

"Done, let's go" He said as they entered their car driving away.
