Chapter 3

"Babes guess what? Madison asked

"What?"Samara questioned

"Samara I said guess"Madison said

"Your dad got you a new car?" Samara said

"No I've got two cars already"

"You bought a new puppy "I suggested

"Nope, I hate dogs,come on try harder"Madison said.

"Samara guessing isn't just my thing"I whispered in Samara's ear.

"You know what Maddie, I give up I don't guess"Samara said

"me too, just tell us already"I said

"Alright, Samara remember the guy I told you I had a crush on?"

"Mason?"Samara asked

"Yeah, he asked me out earlier today"Madison said excitement colouring her voice.

"Mason asked you out?" Samara asked

"Yes Samara I just said that just now"Madison said

"Awwn congrats girl"I said and we hugged each other.

"Why weren't we invited to the party?"what seemed like Carson voice came from behind.

"Hi Carson, Hi Lorcan"we greeted

"Sup babes,but my question is yet to be answered"Carson said.

"Guess what?"Madison started

"Madison just get to the point"Lorcan said

"Mason asked me out"

"Wow, serious?"Lorcan asked and Madison nodded.

"What?, mason asked you out?have you given him an answer yet?"Carson asked

"No, I haven't"Madison replied

"Why?"

"I wanted to let you all know and accept to it before I give you an answer"Madison said

"Maddie please promise me you will say no"Carson said

"Carson what's wrong?"I asked

"Why should I say no Carson?"Madison asked looking confused.

"It's just that...I...you know what? never mind go ahead"Carson said and walked away.

"Dude!!"Lorcan called and went after him.

"What's up with Carson?"Madison asked

"Madison I think Carson like likes you" I said.

"What!!!"Samara and Madison said in unison.

"Yeah with the way he acted I think he has something for you"I replied

"That's weird, I never knew Carson liked me"

"Kiara Buenavista, please report to the principal's office"an announcement was made

"What the hell?"Samara said

"What did you do?"Madison asked a concern look written all over her face

"How would I know"I said

We walked to principal office in bother fear and tension.

"Wish me luck"I said rapping the door with my knuckles.

"Enter!"came the command

I stepped into the office.

The principal was seated behind a mahogany desk.

"Kiara Buenavista"he said opening a ledger.

"I have your father's letter here indeed,I was reading it just before you arrived. It seems that I am to give you my special attention. You are in need of more knowledge is that so?"

"I... I don't know sir, my father sent me here because he said it will be good for me."I replied

"Oh,it will be,never doubt it.An extraordinary man, Your Father. So handsome,so refined in his tastes,and forward in his thinking. Quite out of his time..."

I had difficulty stopping my jaw from dropping open.

Principal Xavier knew my father?

His next words were even more puzzling.

"Your father must love you very much to send you here.may I ask you a personal question?"

"Yes sir"

"Are you close with your father in the way a father and child may be?"

"Oh yes, my father treats me like a queen, he wants only the best for me"I replied

"Ah I see, this makes things more clearer. You may not realize it at this moment, but are an extremely lucky young woman" principal Xavier said.

The words burst out before I could stop them.

"I don't feel lucky at all sir, I've been forced to attend this academy while my parents are holidaying for the summer in Venice.Nothing could persuade my father from this course. He Is to visit the when the family returns and if my demeanor has not improved to his satisfaction, I am to stay here until it has!"

"Oh really, but take care that you do not overreach yourself"he said

"Alright"

""Well then you can go now, thank you for your time"

"Dude what happened, you just left"Lorcan asked Carson

"Lorcan I'm okay nothing is wrong"Carson said

"Carson look at me do I look stupid?" Lorcan asked

"Yes, but the truth is I like Madison and when I heard that mason already asked her out, I just felt shattered inside"Carson said

"Dude, like seriously you like Madison?"Lorcan asked

Carson hissed "Lorcan I just said that, yes I do like her but I couldn't bring myself to tell her"

"Carson you've f****d up, like you really f****d up" Lorcan said

"How?"

"You should have told her how you felt other than walking away"Lorcan said

"What's the use, it's Mason she likes"

"Well you could have at least given it a try who knows?" Lorcan said

"Lorcan I appreciate your help but I'm not gonna put her in a complicated situation"

"Nobody is putting anyone in a complicated situation,just...you know what never mind I'll just tell Samara"Lorcan said

"You wouldn't dare"

"Madison about Carson what are you gonna do?"Samara asked

"Honestly speaking I dunno,I had no idea Carson liked me,yes he cared for me and never denied me anything but I just saw it as a normal thing"Madison replied

"But don't you like him, not even a bit??"Samara asked

"Madison seemed to think for a while "well I do like him as well but..."

"No buts You like him that's the fact"Samara said

"Girls the guys are coming this way"I said

"Hey girls"Lorcan greeted

"Hey boys"Samara said teasingly and we all laughed.

"Hi Carson"Madison greeted

"Hey Madison"Carson replied

"Hold on,hold on, what's with the formality?"Samara asked.

"Carson do you like Madison?"Samara asked not waiting for a reply to her first question

"Samara!!"Lorcan and I called

"What?the formality is killing the vibe"she answered

"Yes I do like Madison and not just like I really like like her"Carson said

"Carson why didn't you tell me this earlier?"Madison asked

"I just felt like you probably not like me an it's not a problem since I know it's Mason you like I just wanted to let you know how I felt"

Carson said and looked away.

"I dunno what to say...I..."

"What she trying to say is she also likes you...she likes likes you"Samara said cutting Madison off

"Samara!!!"Madison called

"Madison!!!, what it's not like I'm lying or am I Kiara?"Samara asked

"Yes Carson, Madison also likes you" I said

"Oh really Kiara, you are now on Samara's side?"Madison asked

"Maybe but you like Carson I can't deny that" I replied

"Okay, what the hell Is going on here I'm totally lost"Lorcan spoke

"Actually Carson, I um... also like you"Madison confessed

"So is that a yes, you'd be my girlfriend?" Carson asked

"Yes Carson, my answer is a big yes" Madison replied

"Awwwn so sweet"Samara said smiling devilishly.

"So does anyone has eye on Kiara, do you Lorcan?"she asked

"I would but Blair has stolen my heart " Lorcan said

"Lorcan stop dreaming"Madison said

"Maddie his dream is becoming a nightmare better wake him up. Well, Kiara has eye for Damian"Samara said

"Samara can't you keep shut for once?"I asked

"Sorry can't help"she said

"Are you serious? Damian the hottest guy on school?"Lorcan asked

"Yeah"Madison said

"Kiara 9 o'clock"Carson said

"Meaning?"I asked

"i***t,Damian is coming this way"Samara said with clenched jaw.

"Oh....wait is he really coming here?"I asked and they all nodded.

" hi guys,hi Kiara."he greeted

"Hi Damian"

"Sup dude"

"I'm good, I'm sorry but do you mind me borrowing Kiara for a moment?"Damian asked.

"We don't mind you can even take her for life"Samara said

"Samara I'm gonna kill you"I yelled

"Well do you mind Kiara?"

I looked up at the guy in front,a tall well built guy, his blonde hair tied in a half ponytail and the rest falling to his shoulder in smooth waves.

His smooth skin was pale and unblemished a d his eyes, a forest green that reminded me of warm summer days. With his good look and wearing all white,he looked like an angel.

"Kiara?"Damian voice called bringing me out of my reverie.

"Huh?"

"Looks like someone is lost again"Samara said and she and Madison giggled.

"I said I wanted to speak with you,if you don't mind "Damian said

"Sure I don't mind"

"Let's go"he said stretching his hands to my reach.

I felt my cheeks turned a bright red as I grab his hands.

Damian took me to the garden and we both sat besides the lake.

"So you wanted to talk about something"I asked breaking the awkward silence.

"Oh, yeah,I just wanted to ask if we could you know become friends"he said

"Friends huh?"I asked a teasing lit in my voice.

"Um yes"

"Sure"I replied glancing at the garden every now and then.

I had a beautiful garden back at home but it was nothing compared to this.

I'm not saying my garden is smaller but this garden was much more beautiful because of the decorations.

Flowers were planted in every possible places,roses, daisies, sunflowers to name but a few.

"You never go out?"Damian asked.

He must have noticed me ogling around the garden but how could I not.

"Yes,father never let me go outside our home."I replied

"Do you wanna go out?"he asked

"Out?you mean outside the school vicinity?"I asked

"Yep"

"I'd love to"I said excitement colouring my voice but then died slowly.

"Is there a problem?"he asked with a frown

"How do we go outside? students are not allowed outside the school vicinity."I said

"No worries, I'll speak to principal Xavier.

"Principal Xavier please I need a favour from you"Damian spoke.

"With what Damian?"

"I need permission to go out sir"Damian said

"I'm sorry Damian, this is still lecture hour and you know I can't let you out"the principal said

"But sir, it's for Kiara's sake, her parents never let her out and now she feels like going out would you deny her the freedom of movement?"Damian asked

Principal Xavier seemed to think for a while

"Okay since it's based on the Buenavista's daughter I can't say no to that"

"Thanks Alot sir"Damian said

"Is there anywhere you would love to go?"Damian asked

"Anywhere is fine"I replied

As we walked in the midst of people, Damian showed me a lot of things I didn't know of.

I've never felt so free before.

We walked quite a distance Then we came to the woods.

"What are we doing here?"I asked

"I want to show you something" taking my hands he led me into the woods.

After a while,we came to a place where many yellow lights were flying over the whole place.

"What is this?"I asked as I clinged to Damian

"It's fireflies.Do you know why they glow?"he asked

"No" was my short reply

"It's to attract mates or prey"he explained

I looked at them fascinated.i never knew these things existed.

"They are beautiful"I said

"Not as beautiful as you are"he said walking right behind me.

His words brought butterflies to my stomach.

I stopped and turned around, our eyes met

His forest green eyes burned into mine with great intensity then he began to slowly move towards me.

I moved back a few times till I hit a tree but he kept on coming closer till I felt his warm breath on my skin. Placing his hands on the tree he caged me between him and the tree

What's going on?

I tried to push him away but he didn't move

He leaned in a little bit closer I put my hand on his chest and this time he allowed me push me and stalked backwards with a smirk on his face

"Let's go somewhere else"he said.

I nodded

We walked further into the woods,I wondered how he got to know these places.

After we walked a little distance, we came to a beach.

I looked around the place it was nice and silent.

"Can I go into the water? I asked eagerly

"Sure"

Without waiting I ran into the water, although it was really cold on my skin I didn't mind.
