CHAPTER 54
Derek's POV
“She's the key, Derek…”
“She's the key.”
“She's the key…”
“You must activate that key!”
Those words kept playing over and over blindly in my head until I snapped out of it and sat up abruptly.
I was in my bed, but one look at the bedside table told me that Healer Tega was at work here. There was a pole stationed right next to my bed where a blood bag was attached, linked straight to my arm while an EKG beeped on the table.
I was alone at the time I woke up and it wasn't long before the memories came flooding back.
I sat up with a groan and tore the needles from my hand. My whole body still felt sore somehow, but I believe I was somehow better now. I was just trying to get out of bed when the door opened, and Healer Tega walked in with a clipboard in his hand
