Chapter Thirty: "Do you regret telling me you love me?"
The ride back home was more than awkward, because the three words spoken out loud in the forest lingered between us, and it made both of us so uneasy and unsure of ourselves. I didn't know what to say and what to make of the situation.
Our day away from school had finally come to an end. Neither one of us spoke anything on the car ride back home.
