Chapter Tennnnnnnnnn, . . . . Oh how much Daisy wanted to know how he sounds when he giggles and now that she heard it, her heart swelled up in absolute euphoria. She felt herself smiling against his chest. She shouldn’t take his drunken state for granted. So, she tried pulling away, and his arms left her body that were encircling her. But immediately his warm palms cupped her cheeks. Hades was widely smiling at her, a bright smile. The corners of his lips stretched upwards, and his mouth formed a boxy grin. And that was hella adorable. His bright smile made Daisy also smile along with him. For the first time, Daisy saw emotions glistening in his partially opened eyes. Pure adoration and longingness glazed in his eyes. He was slightly swaying due to the drunken state. Daisy was unaware of what is going through his mind. But one thing she knew was that, she didn’t wanted this moment to end. She wanted to live in this very moment till eternity. The pads of Hades thumbs grazed Daisy’s cheekbones ever so lightly. He again lovingly smiled looking at her, their face few inches apart from each other and for some reason Daisy felt her eyes brimming with tears of joy. He tucked a few strands of her hair behind her ears. “You are so beautiful, love.” He slurred in groggy voice, gazing lovingly at her. His eyes opened and closed unsteadily. “Is he hallucinating? I don’t know, even if he is, I still choose to cherish this moment.” Daisy thought. He immediately pulled Daisy into his warm embrace as he hid his head in the crook of her neck. The butterflies inside Daisy’s system was wandering aimlessly. She clutched tightly on to his t-shirt as he tightly hugged her. His warm breath tingling her skin. She felt herself melting in his warmth as he hugged her as if she was a precious gem. “I missed you. Where were you, huh?” He whimpered. Daisy crooked her eyebrows. “I missed you so, so much Alif.” And that was it. The moment those words spilled out of Hades mouth the butterflies instantly died in Daisy’s stomach, drowning her into complete hollowness. Her eyes widened, and she harshly a bit down my lower lip to suppress any kind of whimper from leaving her mouth. Her heart bruised as if it was stabbed and strangled at the same time. Face scrunching in pain, she let the tears rolled down her cheeks. The grip she had around his t-shirt loosened,, and she let herself fall limp over his shoulders. “So all this loving looks and words were for another woman whom he loved or perhaps still loving, not for me.”, Daisy bitterly chuckled. “Huh! Bold of you to assume that he likes you. You are just a stupid lovesick girl, Daisy”, Her inner conscience mocked her. She bitterly sucked in a shaky breath. And she didn’t pull away from his embrace because she knew that she will break down once she will see his tear filled eyes. Longing for love and warmth not from her, but from another one whom he assumed her to be.
