My heat wore on for a week before I finally began to feel some relief. The pauses in between my hit flashes were now long enough that Danny felt it was okay for me to go back to work. Kurt thought that I was had just gone down with the flu, so he had filled my position for the week.
Now that I was back at work, he seemed relieved. Hell, I was was relieved to finally be let out of my stuffy hotel room. It had been a hellish week with all of the eating and s*x, but now I was starting to feel better.
Danny had been a hug relief and would come home the second I would start feeling my heart flare up just to keep at bay and then head back to work. It was difficult for him to leave me every time, but it was better that way so that we could have a halfway decent check.
