CHAPTER 3

5 year past. Li yen now 15 years old. She been living with Yuan yi. Yuan yi teach her martial art and physician technique. They sell herbal and medcine to the village to make a living. They had a happy life.

Then one day Yuan yi selling her herbal at the market. But forget one of the bag of herbal at home. Then Yuan yi ask Li yen to get the bag at home and wait Li yen at the border of the market.

"A'bao i forgot the bag of the herbal that we need to sell at home, can you get it for me. Here take the horse, i'll wait you in this carriage at the border. You have to be safe, don't encounter a group of bandit. You understand?"

Said yuan yi.

"Don't worry sis Yuan yi, i'll be safe, i've master your skilled anyway. Okay, I'll go get them." said Liyen.

Liyen ride a horse to home. But in her way of home, she found a group of soldiers fighting a group of bandits. The soldier is badly injured. The bandits ran away. Liyen try to avoid them. But Jun shi notice her, and ask if she had a medicine.

" Young lady, do you know where to get medicine, enough for our soldier? We get ambush with the bandits , they try to take our stuff. We just passing here to buy medicine." ask Jun shi assistant General Li wei.

"Oh! You want to buy medicine , that is great timing because we sell medicine but i need to take at my home first you need to wait here first. I'll go get them and give to you." said Li yen.

"My soldiers wait here, i'll follow you. The bandit is everywhere. We need the medicine urgent." Jun shi said.

"Okay, if you insisted" said Liyen.

Liyen arrived at home, she take the bag full of medicine.

"This is for injury, this is for stomachache or poison, this is for headache and this is for sprained hand or leg. Which one do you need?" said Liyen.

"All of them" Jun shi pointed all.

"1 bag , 500gram herbal is 5 silver." Li yen said.

"Here take it. Take the change" Jun shi give a gold bar.

Li yen widening her eyes to see gold bar. She packing the medicine with careful. She just happy to get some expensive. Then Jun shi see her jade pendant hanging at her waist , then ask Li yen.

"Young lady, what is your name? “

“Hmm.. Call me A'bao, an you?" answer Li yen.

" Jun shi.. My name Jun shi. Where did you get your jade pendant? " ask Jun shi.

" Ohh.. This is not for sale, it's given by my family. Here your medicine, thank you for buying, I need to rush to the market. My master waiting for me. " Said Li yen.

" Ohh.. wait.. " Jun shi trying to stop her but Li yen take a bag and go. Jun shi know that Li yen is the princess that missing at the palace. He hurriedly go meet his soldiers and back to camp to delivered the news to General Li wei.

At the border, Yuan yi waiting patiently.

"Master!" shouted Liyen.

"A'bao why you late? I've been waiting for you for ages. Come on before the gate close." said Yuan yi.

"Lets go" said Li yen.

At the camp.

"General!! I have something important to report to you!!." Shouted Jun shi.

" Jun shi. Did you get the food and medicine?" Ask General Li wei.

"We get everything, the bandits try to steal but we manage to block them. Then they ran away." said Jun shi.

"Well done Jun shi." General Li wei compliment Junshi.

"General, i have something to tell you. It about princess Li yen." Jun shi said.

"Go on." General Li wei focus on Jun shi.

"When we were buying medicines. There is a young lady got the jade pendant like you, it is the same like you have and it was a keepsake from the emperor."

Jun shi explain.

" Are your sure? Is that my sister. Bring me to her tomorrow. I need to see my self." said Li wei.

" She said, they going to sell medicine at market at the east." Jun shi said.

" We search tomorrow at the market, but arrange someone to investigate what happen at the south forest. I need to see who kidnapped my sister. "

Command General Li wei.

"Yes general. Will arrange it."

At the city, Yuan yi and Li yen find and inn to sleep. They check in, and Li yen rushing to bed , and throw her body at the bed and whining.

"im tired!" said Li yen.

" Then rest , i'll take my bath first. Look i need to change to man clothes here in the city. Okay?"

Then Yuan yi go down the stair to take a bath then change to man clothes. Accidentally, she hear a group of man wearing bandits clothes.

Talking about emperor soldier try to investigate the south forest for the missing princess from 5 years ago.

She stunned as she eavesdrop the chatter.

" A'bao might be the missing princess?" then she leave before anyone see her, going back to room. Li yen is sleeping from tiredness.

"That's why grandma told to protect her no matter what. Grandma know who she is. I need to sent her to her parent. It is dangerous for her out here." Yuan yi try to calm her mind.

CHAPTER 4

Tomorrow come. Yuan yi is ready with a man clothe to selling her medicine to the market and clinic to clinic.

" Wake up A'bao we need to set off. " said Yuan yi.

" Okay master!" said Li yen.

" The jade pendant. Hide it. So the bandits don't steal that." pointed Yuan yi to Liyen pendant.

"Okay master! oh! yes the other day, a soldier buy our medicine, here the pay." Liyen handing the gold bar to Yuan yi.

"You sell this much. Okay! i'll treat you delicous food" say Yuan yi. Li yen smiling to hear that.

Then they set out to selling the medicine and herbal, clinic to clinic. Then they set out to the north. But encounter General Li wei and the soldiers.

"Master-master, that the man buying our medicine."

Said Li yen.

"Oh! the soldier must been out at the battle lately, maybe they injured need to be treat that is why they need medicines." said Yuan yi.

They try to pass the group of soldiers.

But Jun shi shout.

"A'bao!" then wave his hand.

"General , that girl had same like your jade pendant." whispered to general Liwei.

General Li wei take a look and see his long lost sister. The face similar to his mother. Then General Li wei stop them.

"Stop the carriage." said General Li wei.

Yuan yi stop the horse.

" Afternoon General, i'm Yuan, do you need some medicine?"

Yuan yi assume by his uniform , he must be high ranking general.

"Mr. Yuan i need to check something , this A'bao probably my long lost sister. Can i check her pendant? ." Said general Li wei. Yuanyi try to be cool while she suprise about that question.

" General, so many people wanted to take advantage of my A'bao. Because of what she had is expensive and special. I dont care if you are high rank or commoner. Do you have evidence that my A'bao is your sister? "

Ask Yuan yi calm.

" I have the same jade pendant that she had, the jade pendant is just an royal family can have, is a swan shape circle. Because i have one too. "

General trying to show the pendant but the pendant at his waist general have been gone.

He trying to remember, that they encounter a bandits on the way to the city. The bandits accidentally cut the jade pendant and Li wei doesn't notice.

" I think i dropped the pendant some where. Because of fighting with this capture bandits. Damn it!". Said Li wei.

"I think you just talking nonsense general. We need to go. Come to me if you had the pendant back. A'bao lets go." Yuan yi continue to go.

Jun shi ask A'bao.

"Where you going?"

" We going to sell at the north city. " Li yen answer.

" Let them go! " General command. Flustered.

The soldiers give them a way. Yuan yi and Li yen continue their journey to the north.

Jun shi confront general Li wei.

" Why did you let them go? She is your sister. " Jun shi said.

"My pendant is missing somewhere. it's gone somewhere. It is my sister, she had the same face of my beloved mother. We need to find my pendant , is the evident that a'bao is my sister Liyen. I dont know why Mr. Yuan kidnapped my sister." said general.

"It's not look like kidnapped to me, they like loving master and student." said Jun shi.

"Loving?!! What do you know!!" mad general.

"I'm sorry general. I have out of line." said Jun shi.

General give the death stare to Jun shi.

On the journey to the north city.

" A'bao, do you remember anything 5 years ago before i save you from the wolf. Did you remember anything about your family? Ask yuan yi.

"Hmm.. I just remember that there's a person like a brother always hold my hand and i think i live in luxurious place. I dont know maybe it's just my dream. I don't remember much. It's has been 5 years. We been through thick and thin together, i just love being with master. You the only one my family. I already forget about my past because the trauma i have been through it make me scared. I thankfully that you are my savior" and cuddle Yuan yi hand.

Yuan yi pat Li yen head.

Yuan yi see a shining thing in the road way. She stop and take alook. It's a jade pendant, same like Li yen.

Yuan yi think this is the general pendant that have cut at the tie. She look around there a blood shed. Must be here that general fighting.

"It's the same pendant like yours" said yuan yi.

" Yeah it is" comparing the jade pendant.

"Look abao, I'll save this pendant. Listen what im gonna say. You are a princess. You live at the palace at south. You must find you family, no matter what. Be safe, i'll protecting you with my life. Let's find your family. After we go to the north and west, we will go to the south, by then we find your parent. They must be worried about you. It may be a dangerous journey because everyone knows the news emperor searching you everywhere , and we have to go safely without any trouble , we don't know what lies ahead us so we need prepare ourself" Yuan yi explain Li yen.

" But master, i want to be with you" Li yen start to cry.

"No don't cry. I'm not going anywhere. I will protect you. And you have a brother, General Li wei is your brother. Perhaps when we enter the west city it will be dangerous out there. We need to be careful." Yuan yi advise Li yen.

"Alright master, i'll be brave, i don't forget what you teach me but please don't leave me" shed her tears.

"Good girl!" Yuan yi compliment Li yen.

Yuan yi just worried if something goes wrong her head will be off from her body. She know she dealing with really high ranking royal.
