Chapter twenty-three

    Entity 345660A5, awake. 

    “Oh, this one’s a cutie.” a female voice said.

    “He’s so young, what a shame.” said another female voice. 

    Dylan stirred in his sleep as a warm breeze skipped over him. Something ran across his cheek, something soft. It happened again, tickling his skin. He flinched and then a giggle came. 

    “Wakey, wakey.” the first voice chimed. It was sweet and high, almost like singing. “As adorable as you are, you can’t sleep all day.” 

    The tickling continued and this time Dylan opened his eyes. It was really bright, almost blinding. Once his eyes had adjusted, he noticed two girls staring at him. He knew instantly, they weren’t human. For one, they were incredibly beautiful, one with olive colored skin as smooth as silk, her eyes a mix of green and
