Lucifer’s apprentice (part 1) Dylan couldn’t remember much from how he got there. At one point, he was in Heaven, having his trial. The man he had believed to be Satan, had struck him a deal so he could return to Earth. Then the next thing he knew, he was waking up in an open field, surrounded by trees, the moon watching over him. First thing he noticed was his perspective. Even though it was night, he saw clearly and vividly through the darkness. The trees seemed to sway in slow motion as his eyes darted across the sky. There were millions of stars staring down at him as though he could see straight through the atmosphere. In the distance, he could hear every thump of the animals that galloped throughout the forest. He could hear teeth clicking as small rodents ate away at bark and nuts
