The room spun around me as I blinked through my tears, my wrists chafing where the ropes dug in. My pulse hammered in my ears, mingling with the faint thrum of music from somewhere outside, muffled but persistent. I couldn’t see clearly yet, but I could feel someone presence before I even heard the heels click against the floor.
Eunice.
Of course it was her.
Was she finally going to f**k me by force?
“You’re awake,” the voice purred, smooth and dangerous, a predator toying with its prey.
Okay not Eunice.
I flinched, trying to twist my head, to see her, but the blindfold kept me in darkness. “Who… who are you?” I croaked, my voice cracking.
A soft laugh, low and amused, floated toward me.
“You don’t know me yet, darling. But you will. I’ve been watching… every move, every hesitation, every moment you thought you were safe.”
Safe, safe from what?
She knelt slightly, face level with mine.
Her voice dropped, velvet-smooth and deadly. “i see youve gotten over the video.”
The video?
“You…you did this ?” My voice trembled.
“ Yes my dear, I figured I could let you on a little secret concerning your Alpha. He's a man w***e. But, I see you're over it. I don't like it. I want us to talk.”
She titled her head, eyes glinting in the dim light.
“Your Alpha is away. So it's only us.”
I tried to pull away, but the men pressed in, unrelenting. My legs kicked, my arms struggled, my body trembling with fear and alcohol. Tears blurred my vision. I was trapped. Vulnerable. Naked emotionally even if clothed physically.
I would never drink again.
Assuming I wasn't drunk, I should have escaped this with my Wolf strength.
She stepped closer, placing a hand lightly on my cheek. “Relax, Iris. Don’t fight it too hard. The more you struggle, the more fun it becomes.”
I gagged back a sob “ wh…who are you ?”
“Anastasia,” she said simply, letting the name roll off her tongue like silk over steel. “Your new… reality.”
“ I don't understand any of this.”
“Of course you don’t,” she said, moving closer. The faint brush of silk against my skin made me shiver despite myself. “You’ve been living a little bubble of lies, haven’t you?” She hissed the words, her tone sharp, clawing at my heart.
I swallowed hard, a cold lump forming in my throat. “I… I don’t know what you mean.”
“Oh, don’t play innocent,” she said, and suddenly her hand was on my cheek, her fingers digging just enough to draw a shallow line of pain, leaving a burn that set my nerves on fire. “You think your precious Alpha can protect you? You think you're special? Because your his mate. I'm his mate.
I gasped, pulling back, but the ropes held me firm. My mind spun, a dizzying swirl of alcohol, fear, and confusion. “You… you’re crazy,” I whispered, though even I didn’t fully believe it.
Her laughter was soft, venomous. “Crazy? No. I am… precise. Calculated. Every move, every word, every second of terror you feel? I’ve orchestrated it. And now… now you’re here, and I get to see it for myself.”
I tried to tug against the ropes again, panic rising like bile in my throat. “Please… let me go! You can have him.”
“Oh, sweet, naïve omega,” she said, leaning in so close I could feel her breath. “You think anyone can save you? Your Alpha is away. Traveling. Far away. No one is coming. And your little girlfriend…” Her lips curved into a cruel smile. “…she’s too far to matter. Not tonight.”
“Why me?”
“ Because for some reason, Alpha Duncan had cross boundaries just because of you. He threatened me all because of you. Everything is because of you iris. I should be the one he gets to be obsessed over. And not you.”
“ Anyway,” she continued.” You've seen the video. You will never satisfy Alpha Duncan. He sees you as a toy.”
“ And one mistake that Duncan made, was letting me go. He should have killed me before travelling.”
I trembled, my chest heaving, tears burning my cheeks. She didn’t move closer this time.just leaned back, letting the ropes hold me firmly, her expression calm, predatory, like a cat toying with a mouse.
“ You know, iris,” she began slowly, deliberately, letting each word land,” I think you don't know how selfish you are.”
I swallowed hard, my voice barely a whisper. “ s.. selfish?”
She let out a soft, cruel laugh, shaking her head. “Yes. You think about yourself constantly. Your desires, your lust, your… little thrill of being wanted. You don’t stop to think about the people around you, about the consequences. You flit between your Alpha, his daughter, this… Ky girl. And yet, you think you’re untouchable. That no one ever suffers because of you. That everyone is just obsessed with you.”
My mouth opened, but no words came. She could see the panic, guilt, the helplessness in my eyes. And she enjoyed it.
“You pretend to be strong. Polite. Loyal. But I see the chaos inside you. The selfishness. The way you let desire lead you without thinking about who gets hurt. Do you really think your little Alpha obsession shields you? Or your precious Alice?” She leaned so close that I could smell the expensive perfume, the faint whiskey, the bite of danger in her breath. “You’re a hurricane in everyone’s life, and yet you sit there thinking you’re a victim.”
I shook my head, tears spilling freely. “I… I didn’t mean…”
“Didn’t mean?” she interrupted sharply, tracing a fingernail down the side of my jaw. “Sweetheart, intentions don’t matter. Only results. And the results are pain. Fear. Anguish. For you, for them, for everyone who trusts you. You’re selfish, Iris. You always have been. And the way you play with their hearts, mostly Alice. I mean Alpha Duncan doesn't care about you. it’s delicious, watching it unravel.”
I whimpered, my body trembling uncontrollably. “I… I just… I love them… I love them both…”
Her smile widened, sharp and dangerous. “Ah, yes. Love. The justification of the selfish. You love them, but you make her suffer, make her question your love.”
My knees shook beneath me, my chest tightening. I couldn’t escape, couldn’t think, couldn’t breathe. Her words sank in, each one digging deeper than the ropes ever could.
“And yet,” she whispered, leaning closer so her lips were near my ear, “you’ll still cling to them. You’ll still chase after them, thinking it redeems you. But it doesn’t. It only makes you… selfish. Always selfish. And tonight, Iris… tonight, I get to remind you of that.”
I shivered, my body trembling as sobs wracked me. I had no answers. No defense. Only the burning realization that she was right,my choices, my desires, my tangled heart, had made me prey for someone like her.
And she knew it.
She knew exactly how to hurt me.
Exactly how to dig her claws into my life.
I just came to this club to have fun. Now, I was here tied to a chair, listening to every words Anastasia has to say.
That hurt than punishment.
And I was helpless to stop her
And I didn't know when this was going to stop.
