~ Eunice
The office was quiet, save for the faint click of my heels against the polished floor and the occasional rustle of papers. Sasha lounged lazily in the chair across from me, scrolling through her phone, but her attention flicked to me now and then, as if she was waiting for instructions.
I stood behind my desk, leaning slightly forward, arms resting on the smooth surface. The sunlight slanted through the blinds, cutting thin stripes across my suit, highlighting the sharp lines I’d carefully curated. Confidence wasn’t just an act,it was a weapon, and I wielded it better than anyone in this room.
“Come on,” I said, voice low and smooth, turning to Sasha. “We don’t have all day. Focus.”
Sasha muttered something under her breath but finally set her phone aside. I knew her type, lazy but loyal. Useful when I needed someone to watch my back, someone who could deliver messages with a smirk instead of a scowl.
The knock at the door startled me slightly, deliberate or not, I didn’t care. I lifted an eyebrow. “Enter.”
Alice walked in, casual but sharp, hair perfectly styled, carrying herself with that effortless grace I hated and admired in equal measure. She smiled faintly, aware of the power play before her. “You called?” she asked.
“Yes,” I said smoothly, keeping my tone neutral.
“Sit.” I gestured to the chair across from my desk. She did, eyes steady, hands folded in her lap.
Sasha smirked quietly in the background, clearly entertained by the tension.
“You know why you’re here, Alice,” I said, letting the words hang between us. “Or maybe… you think you’re untouchable, too.”
Alice’s jaw tightened, but she didn’t flinch. Good.
Resistance made the game more interesting.
I leaned back slightly, letting my gaze drift slowly over her, letting my presence press against her without a word. “The pack is… changing,” I said, deliberately vague. “Some loyalties need reminding. Some… rules… need reinforcement.”
Alice’s eyes flicked to me, sharp. “I know exactly what you mean.”
I smiled faintly, almost admiring her composure.
Almost. “Do you?” I asked. “Because I need to be very clear. I don’t tolerate interference. Not from anyone. And I… don’t like surprises.”
Her lips twitched. “Surprises are boring.”
“Maybe,” I said softly, stepping closer, letting my words and presence press into her space. “But sometimes, the consequences aren’t.” I let my fingers brush lightly against the edge of my desk, glancing at her without breaking eye contact.
Before she could respond, my phone buzzed sharply. I picked it up, saw Duncan's name on the screen, and answered smoothly.
“Dunacn” I said, voice casual. “Yes… you’re coming back? Perfect timing.”
The line went quiet for a moment, and then Duncan’s deep, calm voice came through. “I’ll be home in the evening. Make sure everything’s in order, Eunice. I want updates immediately.”
“Yes, Alpha,” I replied, letting the title roll off my tongue with authority. “Everything will be… exactly as you expect.”
I hung up, letting the phone click shut with finality.
My gaze returned to Alice, who was studying me carefully. “Looks like my timing just got better,” I murmured, letting the words settle like a knife in the air.
Alice’s lips parted slightly. “Timing for what?”
“Timing,” I said softly, moving around my desk, each step deliberate. “To remind certain people… who holds control here.”
I reached for a chair, spinning it toward her, then leaned against it, letting my posture remain commanding but relaxed. Sasha’s smirk was obvious now. She knew what was coming, even if Alice didn’t.
“Sit,” I said again, voice gentler this time. “Closer.”
Alice’s eyes narrowed, hesitant, but curiosity, always curiosity won. She shifted slightly, bringing herself closer to the desk, careful, deliberate.
I leaned in just enough so my presence filled the space between us. My voice dropped into a low, teasing whisper. “You know… you shouldn’t test boundaries you can’t control.”
Her breath hitched, subtle, almost imperceptible. Good. Exactly the reaction I wanted.
I let my hand rest lightly on the back of the chair, close to hers, just enough to remind her that proximity can be persuasion. “You see, neice,” I murmured, “there are… consequences for knowing too much, or for stepping where you don’t belong. You want to be Luna, you can't.”
She met my gaze evenly, though I caught the flicker, the small shift in her composure, that slight awareness that I could unbalance her if I chose.
“And what if I don’t care?” she said softly.
I smiled faintly, letting the corner of my mouth tilt.
“Then you’ll find out… that choice isn’t as simple as it seems.”
Sasha chuckled softly in the background, clearly entertained. I ignored her, letting the tension grow.
“I’m calling Iris in,” I said softly, letting the words linger. “It’s time she understands her… position in all of this. And perhaps… a lesson in subtle persuasion.”
Alice’s eyes narrowed again, watching me carefully. “do not touch her,” she said quietly.
“ You talk like I listen.”
I picked up the phone again, dialing Iris’s extension with deliberate care. “Iris,” I said softly when she answered, “come to my office. Now.”
The door opened again. Iris stepped in, the tension radiating off her in subtle waves. She didn’t look thrilled to be here, she never did. but she always carried that quiet defiance I secretly admired, even if it irritated me.
I let the silence stretch, letting her adjust to my presence, letting her heart rate betray her awareness of the space she’d just entered. “Iris,” I said finally, soft, low. “Come closer.”
She stopped mid-step, brow furrowed, lips pressed tight. “I know what this is,” she muttered, arms crossed. “Don’t even try.”
I smiled faintly, leaning on my desk. “Try what?” I asked, letting the charm curl through my tone like a weapon. “I’m not here to… you know. I just thought we could… explore some boundaries.”
Her eyes narrowed. “Boundaries? Really, Eunice? Haven’t you done enough already?”
“Not nearly enough,” I whispered, letting my voice dip just enough to make the words feel intimate, heavy. “You think I’ll ever stop noticing you? You think I will give up on the idea of getting under you.”
She rolled her eyes, irritation flashing across her face. “I thought you’d be over me by now.”
“I’m never over anyone who challenges me,” I said lightly, pacing a circle before my desk. “You think you’re immune? That’s… adorable.”
Sasha who sat on the desk smirked.
“You think you’re clever,” Iris said finally, her voice sharper now. “You can’t get to me. And whatever you’re trying…” She paused, taking a step forward. “…it’s not going to work.”
I let a slow, deliberate smile spread across my face. “Oh, I don’t know,” I said softly, leaning forward, resting my elbows lightly on the desk. “I have ways of… understanding things you’d rather keep hidden. Let’s just say I’m very observant.”
Her frown deepened. “Observant enough to know what ?”
I smiled,” you and Ky, you've been close lately.”
She shifted.
There it is.
“ I feel…I feel that you love ky, but you dont want to break our little Alice heart.” I said, circling her. I stopped mid way and kissed her neck.
God she's sweet.
She stood up, hitting me by the jaw.
“ You know about my, and so what?, but guess what, Alice will never believe you, because we are all friends.” She said.
“ So…” she continued.” If you have a better threats, call me. “
She faced me, dragging me by the collar.
God that too was hot and sexy.
“f**k you Eunice..” she said and stormed out.
I looked at the door and turned back to sasha who was already naked.
This girl knew that I was already wet.
