The Masked Man

Episode 3

Around 12:30 am, a convoy of 3 cars made their way from the airport, the road was silent as it's only the cars on the road, a bike suddenly appeared from the side of the road towards the car with a gun and shot the wheels of the cars making them collide and somersault, causing injuries to the car seaters.

The uninjured bodyguards exit their car and ran to rescue their boss who was mildly injured and prepared their guns

"Are you okay sir?

"What the hell is happening?" The middle aged man cried out full of fear, gripping the briefcase tightly

Before they could say a word five teargas cam flying chocking them making them unconscious, suddenly a man in Black appeared wearing a respiratory mask, he bent over and picked up the briefcase then alerted his boys who threw over the teargas, mission accomplished and drove away

Not long after, a car made it way and the driver who saw the accident immediately contact the ambulance, who arrived and picked the unconscious victims to the hospital

" where is my briefcase " was what came out of the middle aged man's mouth as soon as he regained consciousness

"Am sorry sir but we haven't seen any briefcase when we rescued you" said one of the emergency attendant

" We've been robbed, call the cops" he said

The alarm I set woke me up from my sleep, I brushed, took a bath and performed my morning prayers before I start preparing for the hospital

"Morning Bros"

"Morning princess" they all replied and I made myself comfortable at the dining,

where's dad?

"He's not yet here" Nas said sending a spoonful of omelette into his mouth

I made tea and placed some toasted bread and fried egg made by the maid and head to Dad's room.

"What do you think you're doing Meenah, all what an earning is to take care of you and our family, but you're never contented with what you have, you're always on trips for weeks or months, the house is always empty, if the boys are grown ups what about Nadeera? She's a girl she needs you, but you never care you spend some time with her, she's always with the. Maid for God's sake, you know what? I want you back by tomorrow, hope you get it" he said and threw the phone on the bed

I was glad Dad wants mum back by tomorrow, I wait for a minute and then knocked

" Can I come in dad?"

"Sure"

I went in and placed the tray at the bed side. "Morning Dad"

"Morning princess" he answered with a forced smile how is your postings"

"It's hectic dad"

Since when I was a kid I hardly spend time with my mum because of her trips, dad sometimes skips office just to take care of me, am more fond of my dad than my mum

He switched on the TV for the morning new while I set his plate when I heard the news headlines about the robbery of the multi billionaire on his way from airport of his diamond worth $8.5 by the notorious Masked man whose identity was unknowned

" Who is he dad?"

" No one has the idea princess, this is the seventh time he's performing a crime and is yet to be arrested"

I signed " ok let me get going dad, am almost late"

Around lunch time we went over the cafeteria, Fauzy ordered some chips, the weather was cloudy as it will soon rain at anytime, I felt shivers run down my spine. Fauzy noticed that, "hey are you alright?

" I don't know Fauzy, am having this weird feeling"

" Shake it off and enjoy your food"

" Yeah you're right"

We ate and head back to the hospital where we met a consultant at GOPD, she is one of our lecturers, we exchange pleasantries and we're about to go when she suddenly said "oh! Nadeera can you please go to room 17F on the third floor, I forgot a file beside the patient's bed and I need it now"

She then turn over Fauzy, pls accompany this woman to the blood bank"

We both noded and went our separate ways.

The 3rd floor is the VIP section, I locate room 17F and saw to bodyguards guarding the entrance " I was sent by the doctor" I said showing them my ID card and they let me in.

I saw another doctor injecting a substance into the patient's drip but the weird thing is he's wearing a P cap and there's a mask over his face

The drip suddenly turned into a sea blue color

Excuse me who are you pls?

He immediately turned to face me and at that instance the patient suddenly went to a state of shock

I wanted to scream when I felt strong arms over me and my mouth was covered and place a gun at my temple

" Scream and am gonna blow up your head" I was terrified that I fell unconscious

I've never held a woman's hand since I became of age but here is one wrapped in my arms and unconscious. I put away my gun and stare at her ' focus' I said to myself and lay her at the floor. I went over the patient and brought out a small camera from my pocket I tried to activate it but my mind seems to be over the unconscious lady

" Damn it" I hissed when I heard footsteps approaching the door. I jumped out through the window and adjust my P cap and labcoat and exit the hospital. I walked over the Jeep and board it " let's go" while the car drove off I squeezed the lab coat and threw it away in anger

"What wrong bro? Didn't you get his eyes scanned?

I became more furious that I began punching the car seat, Abdul was frightened that he parked the car at the roadside

" What's wrong Moha?"

I was blinded by rage that I grabbed his neck making him choke and grasp for air
