Alliance Ball

Today was the day for the alliance ball. Evangeline had much to prepare for the finishing touches. She was making sure all the flowers were arranged on the tables and around the house. When Stella walked into the room.

"You know you have servants that take care of this Evey. Everything is going to be perfect now you need to get ready. Everyone excepts to see the new beautiful Alpha" Stella teased.

"Guess you better work your magic then" Evangeline responded with a chuckle.

Stella then grabbed Evangeline and dragged her to her room. She started working on her hair and makeup. Pulling Evangeline's long brown curly hair up into an elegant up do with diamond hair pins holding it into place.

Then Stella did her own up do and makeup giving herself some curls into her blonde hair. Both women started putting on their elegant floor length dresses. Evangeline's was gold form fitted gown that was sleeveless with a deep v neckline and ruching at the sides with a large slit up the the leg showing enough skin to be alluring. Stella wore a silver mermaid dress with a layered him and a deep v neckline. Her dress was also sleeveless and gave her an hourglass form.

Both women walked out of the room and into the ballroom together, just as the other guest were starting to arrive. All the other shape shifters from the southern Republic were arriving.

The bird shifters clans from the area started to arrive. They generally live in large clans in the mountains their species is mostly known for their great eye sight. They may be poor fighters but they have great eye sight and can fly great heights using their those abilities and their large clans against their foes.

The fox shifters packs arrived with the bear shifters. Foxes and bears are know to co exist as they help each other. Foxes are known for being able to hide their scent and their speed but are also poor fighters whereas the bears are known for their strength and size but have poor eye sight . Foxes help bears to blend in whereas bears help defend the foxes. Each having their own Alpha but helping living near each other to help with their weaknesses.

Cat shifters also started arriving. They are known for their agility and their climbing skills. Their may not be strong but they make up for it in their majestic movements. Like foxes cats are known for their smarts.

Lycan's and wolves also co exist and are more similar than any of the other shifters. Both take on a wolf form although Lycans are larger, stronger, and faster than a typical wolf. Where as are waves are known for their speed and scents of smell. They are also good fighters but are not known for being the strongest shifter.

The last to arrive was the Lycan King Ezekiel. He was dressed in a black suit with a aqua blue toe that matched his eyes and white dress shirt and pocket handkerchief. His dark hair was kept short and styled with gel. All the females in the room started to gather around him and hoping he would make them his chosen mate. He was a handsome man with a chiseled jaw and very masculine features.

Ezekiel started scanning the room as he could smell her scent before he even walked through the doors. A growl left his chest as he saw other Lycan and wolf males trying to get his mate to dance with her. She looked gorgeous in that gold dress being able to see her every curve and her thigh peaking out of the dress as she gracefully walked through the room.

Evangeline could smell her mate as he entered the room. Her wolf was anxious to get near him but she couldn't get side tracked now. Evangeline made sure to make it around the room greeting all the Alpha's. Some of the men would ask her to dance and she would smile and promise a dance for them later when she heard a large growl. Everyone in the room started looking for where it came from when she noticed it came from none other than the Lycan king himself. Her eyes locked with his and before she knew it she was taking long strides in his direction.

"Mate!" he growled

"Mate!" she said back

He took her into the dance floor and they started dancing. Whispers we're heard throughout the ball room. From men being jealous that they couldn't have a piece of the alpha female and women being jealous that the king was dancing with another.

"Alpha Evangeline Thronwood I presume. You are so beautiful and I'm a very lucky man to be given you as my mate." Ezekiel said while gazing into her eyes as they gracefully moved through the dance floor.

"I'm an Alpha, how can we make it work because I'm not giv up my pack they need me." Evangeline responded with sadness in her eyes and she started gazing away from the man she had already fallen in love with even though they just meet.

Ezekiel gently pulled her gaze back to him with his hand on her chin and said. "We will make it work my little Alpha Luna. Our packs our close and I would never make the woman that I love give anything up that she loves."

Evangeline couldn't help but smile as everything she ever dreamed of was starting to fall into place. All the other shifters happy to allow them back into the Republic as they could already see the difference and with the kings approval it would move even faster. She found a wonderful mate and was the making the changes nessicary to protect her pack. The next step would be to flush out all the rouges from the surondon area but now with the Republic by her side she felt nothing could get in her way of making this a better place to live for all.
