Peering through a half-opened door, Aurelia could not believe her eyes. All along, she had thought that Cynthia’s dancing skills must be rusty at best.
It turned out she was wrong. A lump formed in her throat as she watched Cynthia's flawless dance. Aurelia could not hear the music her sister was dancing to, but the fluid movements alone were enough to reveal that Cynthia’s skill was high. High enough to have a place in this competition.
Aurelia's hand clenched into a fist. How had she gotten so good? Where had she trained? Who had sponsored her?
When Cynthia stopped to take a break, Aurelia pushed the door fully open and walked into the room. No way on earth was she going to admit that Cynthia's dancing was great.
