Kane stormed into the room, followed by Parker and a few bodyguards. His eyes found Cynthia, then narrowed in on Harry, who was huddling up to his mother.
He nodded at him. “Come here!”
Harry shook his head and didn’t move.
Kane raised his voice. “Harry, I said, come here!”
Harry’s head shook faster. “I want to stay with mommy!”
Kane could not believe it. Harry, who trembled like a leaf any time his father raised his voice, was standing firm while disobeying his orders!
He switched his gaze to the mother. “What did you do?” he asked, as if Cynthia must have cast a spell on the child to make him so rebellious.
“Me? You should ask yourself that question,” Cynthia suggested. “I’m not forcing him to stay with me. What have you been doing while I was gone?”
