“And what's that?” she asked, not backing down. He had just been with Aurelia, so Cynthia was curious to find out what stories her sister had cooked up this time. And, of course, no matter how outrageous they were, Kane would believe her.
Kane blindly trusted Aurelia when Cynthia initially told him about the article. How much more would he support her once she had time to spin a tale?
