“I have no idea what you are talking about,” James claimed. He looked at Cynthia, who was standing at the door. “You are scaring her.”
In his fury, Kane had not realised that Cynthia had emerged from the bedroom. He let go of James and stepped back. “Go back inside.”
“What the hell is going on here?” she asked. She had heard what Kane said and wanted to know what he meant. Why would he storm here and attack James all of a sudden?
Kane walked over to her. “Trust me. Just go back inside.”
James massaged his jaw and approached too. “What are you trying to hide from her? Shouldn’t you explain why you attacked me out of nowhere?”
