Jason left the area driving carefully after dousing the red and blue lights and drove to Queen Valley area off Highway 60 east. In raw desert he stopped. He took Morales from the trunk, dumped him on the ground and commenced beating Jesse with his baton. He got so enthralled in the beating that he was administering that he failed to notice blood spattering everywhere in the area including all over his clothing. When he realized the mess he had made he felt of Morales carotid. He found that Jesse was still alive, opened his favorite hunting knife and cut Morales throat literally from ear to ear.
