“There is one thing I would like to ask you about Ned.”
“Okay, what is it Josie?
“We have encountered a dead end in the shooting of Bryan Gant, the Phoenix P.D, Sergeant that was gunned down at the door of his station,” she said, and then added, “but we do know what kind of weapon was used or at least we think we know. But this information has to remain absolutely confidential Ned.”
“What was it?”
“We think it was a Remington 700 adapted as a sniper's rifle, probably with a sniper scope and silencer installed,” Josie responded. And the after a pause she added again, “Please! The information is being held so closely you are one of four people who know about the rifle. We want to be able to do some research without having anyone knowing what we are doing Ned.”
