Beta Hunter’s POV –
“Someone better be storming the castle, because it’s like six AM and I need my beauty sleep!” My twin sister, Artemis, croakily picked up the phone; she probably without looking at the caller ID.
“Sis, its me. Do you know where Owen is? I can’t mind-link him…” My voice was tinted with worry for my best friend. He took not seeing his mate pretty hard. He had never gone too long without answering a mind-link, but this was going over 12 hours now.
“Duh! He’s probably with his mate getting all kissy face.” I could hear water running and her brushing her teeth followed by a spitting sound.
My heart sank because I just realized she didn’t know what went down yesterday. “It wasn’t Ciara…” I say in a grave voice.
