After breakfast, Mom sat next to Alpha David on my left, while her parents and my uncle sat across from us.
I finished my tea first and stood to clear the table, noticing that the others had also finished theirs. Although Mom had maids, they stayed away when Alpha David or Mom had guests.
As I began gathering the cups, I felt their eyes on me.
"So, Lucy, are you going to live with Alpha David, or do you want to stay here in Rafael's house?" Grandma Khloe's voice cut through the air.
