Mia's POV:
When I got home, I didn't meet my mother in the living room.
As I made my way upstairs to my room, the sound of my phone ringing broke the tense silence.
When I brought out my phone, I saw my mother's name flashing as the caller ID.
"Hello, Mom," I spoke calmly, even though I felt my heart hurting.
My wolf had shut me out, as she could not accept the fact that I did not want to associate with the Triple L, and I felt broken by it.
"Mia, I am at the spa. Come over for your makeup; we have to start preparing for my wedding," Mom said, her voice gentle, but I sighed.
"I will do that tomorrow. I do not feel well," I said, my voice filled with sadness, and Mom sighed.
