"Right," Hastings said, pacing slowly in front of the witness stand. "You recently married a billionaire. Damien Blackwood. When was the wedding?"
"October sixth."Aria responded.
"And when did you meet Mr. Blackwood?" Hastings asked.
"June fifteenth." Aria replied.
Hastings paused, letting the timeline register with the jury. "Which means you met four months ago. And when did you discover that my client had been managing your trust fund?"
"Mid-September," Aria said.
"So let me get this straight," Hastings said, his tone sharpening. "You met a billionaire CEO in June. You discovered alleged financial irregularities in September. And you married him in October. Quite the whirlwind romance."
