Jake stopped by the restaurant so that they could let Sally’s new coworkers know that she wasn’t coming back, at least not any time soon.
"Sally? What on earth are you doing back here?" Mr. Alex with some dismay, grabbing her hands and looking her all over, and glaring at Jake as though everything was his fault. "I thought that you were admitted at the hospital."
"Oh, I just wanted to thank you for your kindness. I've been asked to take a little rest. I'd be ready to get back to work in 2 days if you'll have me back."
"I'm pretty sure 2 days wasn't what Doctor Hope had in mind, Sally," Jake said from behind her.
Don't worry, Sally. Take all the time you need. The chances are that we'll still need you when you are done recuperating, so just check in when you are ready."
