‘I think we just about got away with that.’ Cory smiled at Bianca as they walked toward the car.
‘I thought they were going to put an end to the internship last night—they were furious about what happened. The scratches from the woods didn't help. It was a stroke of genius talking me up like that. They seem to think my career is over before it's started, after what happened at school.
