From the journal of Marjorie Bruce 13th of May, 1307 I had no idea that the girl Archibald had rescued would end up to be my maid"s sister. The thought blew me away, and although I felt a longing to actually talk to her about Emmeline and about her past, it was still too early to mention her deceased sister. I still sit and cry whenever I remember the poor girl and her final moments on that fateful day in Kildrummy. To be gone at such a young age…I ponder upon the thought of my own age at my demise. Hopefully I will not be so young. No word has been heard of Father, not even when Archibald took Lady Aileen to the small English town. No one knew where he was or what Archibald was doing, and I bet my life that absolutely no one cared. The reunion between Sorcha and Aileen was heartwarm
