Emmerson Brand is a high school student living in Perth, Western Australia with her family. Her love of writing from an early age combined with an interest in her own family genealogy and history inspired her to create Spirit of Fire - a first person historical account of the Scottish Wars of Independence. She hopes to continue a career in writing and one day explore her ancestral home ground for herself.
