Chapter Nine

"Luna," I stared at the woman who referred to me as Luna, she bowed her head and made her way towards the exit. I was currently sitting in what Noah called the throne room. The entire room was huge but there was nothing in it but two thrones: one fit for a King while the other was fit for a Queen. I sat in the one fit for a Queen while Noah sat in the throne fit for a King and we greeted everyone that was apart of the pack often being referred to as Alpha and Luna. Apparently, it was a tradition for all wolves to attend a meeting where they'd have to meet their Luna for the first time.  I absolutely hated it.  In a week or so, I'd be wearing a crown and standing on the balcony of the Palace to greet every single person living in Gideon with Noah by my side except this time he would be considered my husband.  I hated that even more.  Gideon wasn't all Wolves, there were actually people who were as human as me living in this country as well which explains why Noah was often referred to as King. Gideon wasn't as huge as America but it was a pretty big and popular country — a country in which I had never heard of.  Noah took it upon himself to announce to the world that he would be marrying me which caused a global reaction. When I confronted him about it, he claimed it was to "protect me" and how no one would bother me as long as I was his wife.  Noah still wasn't sleeping in the room with me. I had no idea where he would disappear off too nor did I care.  Alright so maybe I do care but only because it is his room that I've been sleeping in. He could've simply given me any room in the castle yet he gave me his and slept elsewhere? What kind of sense does that make?  "Have you figured out what dress you'd like to wear?" I heard Noah ask. I looked up from the group and into his eyes to see him staring at me patiently while waiting for me to respond.  "I haven't,"  Noah nodded, "We are getting married in a week. I think you need to pick one!"  "I do not know which dress to choose, I actually find them all quite lovely." "I find lots of women quite lovely yet I had to settle down and choose you," Noah replied, "So pick a dress and call it a day,"  "Can you for once not be an asshole?" I asked which caused the few people standing in the empty room to turn their attention to us.  "Don't start," Noah warned.  "You're the one who started this entire thing," I replied, "You're always treating me like I'm absolutely nothing and I'm f*****g sick and tired of it. I didn't ask you to choose me nor did I want to be chosen. I hate you and I can clearly see that you hate me too so do us both a favor,"  "What would that favor be?"  "Reject me or kill me," I replied. I heard a few people gasp while some watched us silently while shaking their heads, "Do whatever you want to do in order to get rid of me because I'm done. I'm completely done with all of this bullshit!"  I stood up and began to make my way down the stairs. I watched as a few people bowed their heads at me and I tossed them a soft smile. As soon as I got to the door, I felt Noah's soft hands grip onto my wrist. Noah's eyes were different. They weren't looking down at me full of hatred but instead he look worried and upset.  "You would really ask your mate to reject or kill you?" He asked. I scoffed, "I would do absolutely anything to get the f**k away from you!"  I yanked my arm away from him before storming out of the huge doors of the throne room. I marched to the room that has become mine before slamming the door closed behind me.  Noah had recently gotten a television installed in the room. According to Timothy, Noah felt like I needed entertainment. He provided me clothing, food, a roof over my head, and safety. He provided me everything.  Everything but respect.  Everything but love.  I kicked off the red bottoms that were on my feet and turned the television on. Instantly, a man and woman appeared on the screen and I rolled my eyes when I saw my name going across the bottom.  "I think all of this is quite terrible honestly! I couldn't imagine how she's feeling right now!" The woman stated.  "Rachel, she's a strong girl! It's been a few weeks since the death of King Daniel. Prince Xavier's coronation is set to happen within the next few weeks and Princess Ororo's wedding to King Noah is happening in one week! There's a lot going on in The Royal Family!"  "Ryan, Princess Ororo and King Noah's wedding signifies change! Gideon isn't your normal country as you all may know that living amongst humans are wolves, they're practically immortal. King Noah has been the King for a long time, he's the longest living monarch ever, this man became the King of Gideon way before we were even born. To see him marry someone like us — a human — shows acceptance. It's not only a big deal for us Americans to have a American woman marrying into the Gideon Royal Family but it's a big deal for humanity — humans all around the world. It shows unity! History will be made in a week!" Rachel exclaimed. "Alright so let me ask you this, Rachel. What do you think will happen after his wedding? What do you think Princess Ororo will bring to Gideon? What will King Noah bring to America?"  "Hope and Change,"  "What are you watching?" I heard someone say. I looked up to see Noah standing in the doorway. I didn't hear him come in.  "Something about change," I mumbled while turning the television down, "It was just something stupid,"  "I wanted to apologize about earlier," Noah whispered.  "It's fine,"  "I don't want you to feel that way, Ororo. I do not think it is okay for you to prefer rejection or worst death over my actions so I'm sorry," He said before turning around and making his way back out of the door.  He suddenly stopped in his tracks...  "You're becoming my wife in a few days so get some rest, you'll be really busy after the wedding,"
