Alpha Noah

Chapter Five

It had been a month since I met King Noah. Charlotte and Xavier had been acting weird around me since then and I didn't know why. My Dad was barely around as he was always super busy with his duties as King. On top of that, Lauren and Mary were keeping me locked away in my room. I would have my freedom around the Palace until 8. Once 8 O' Clock arrives, I am into my room with the door locked until the next morning. 

As far as Timothy, he has been with me everyday. He was pretty much my personal bodyguard. I didn't understand why I needed him around while I was in the Palace but I was glad he was. I had someone to talk to. We were currently sitting in the garden. I laid in the grass as Timothy sat on the bench watching me. 

"I am just not understanding!" I groaned.

"There's a lot that doesn't make sense in life," He replied. 

"I know you know something! I know you do!" I exclaimed. 

"I do but it is not my place to tell you," 

Before I could reply, Charlotte came running outside. Timothy stood up in high alert as she ran over. 

"You are to protect her, Timothy. It is time!" She said as Timothy's eyes widened. He reached his hand out towards me as I grabbed it. 

"What's going on?" I asked. 

Charlotte quickly wrapped her arms around me sniffed, "Stay safe," 

"What's going on?" I whispered to her. 

"Rogues," She replied. 

"What is that?" I asked while pulling away from the right embrace. 

Charlotte didn't answer my question but instead she told me three words that'll stick with me forever, "I love you," 

I didn't get the chance to reply because Timothy was pulling me towards the back entrance. I could hear shouts coming from inside of the Palace and it only made Timothy speed up. 

"Timothy!" I yelled, "What are rogues? What is happening?" 

"Rogue are dangerous. They're killing machines which is why we need to get you out of here," He replied. 

"Killing machines?" I asked. "I can't leave! My Family is in there!" 

"We don't have time," 

"Let me go!" I screamed but it only pissed Timothy off. Timothy turned around and I gasped at the sight in front of me. Timothy's hazel eyes were now black. 

"Your Family assigned me to protect you! They knew this would happen which is why I need to get you the f**k away from this f*****g place!" 

I heard more screams which caused me to turn around, "Why are they attacking my Family?" 

"Because, the Alpha has found his mate!" Timothy replied. 

I remember Mary telling me that King Noah was referred to as Alpha in his country but I had never heard of a mate. 

Timothy grabbed my wrist before dragging me along with him, "Your Father knew this would happen which is why you had been overly protected. They're after you," 

"What did I do?" I whispered.

"You did something that you could not control," 

"Which is?" 

"You found your mate," 

"What are you saying?" I asked. 

"You are the mate of the Alpha," 

Before I could say anything else, I huge wolf appeared in front of Timothy and I. I screeched as the wolf made his way towards Timothy and I. Timothy kept his arm around me as we slowly back away from the wolf. 

"What I am about to do may scare you but I have no choice," Timothy whispered. Suddenly, Timothy shifted into a huge brown wolf which knocked me off my feet. I gasped as I watch him attack the other wolf. 

"Ororo," I heard someone whisper. I turned around and laid eyes on The King. 

"Come to me," He said while holding his hand out. 

I quickly crawled my way over to Noah as he grabbed my hand and pulled me up. I sobbed as I stared at the mysterious Alpha in front of me. Noah wrapped his arms around me while caressing my back, "It's okay. I will protect you. I will always protect you. We need to get out of here," 

"But Timothy..." I started only to be cut off by Noah. 

"He will be okay, believe me." 

We passed Timothy and the wolf as they continued to fight. Noah had finally got us through the back gate and led us towards a Black Audi. As soon as the door opened, I heard my Father. 

"Noah!" He yelled from the balcony. I stopped and turned around as tears slowly ran down my cheeks. 

"Take care of my babygirl," He said. 

"Do not worry," Noah replied. 

My Father's attention turned to me, "Ororo, I am sorry that we didn't get to spend much time together. I love you and I hope we can meet again. I am sending you off with your mate, Noah will protect you. I will try to meet you in Gideon in a matter of days," 

I nodded, "We must leave," I heard Noah say. 

It has been two days since I arrived in Gideon and I've been inside of Noah's room since. He left earlier this morning but made it clear that he'd return to explain everything to me. There's been a young lady named Cindy who has been coming in to bring me food and clothing but that's about it. 

The door opened and Noah entered. He closed the door behind him as I sat up. 

I wonder what Lucy was doing. 

I wonder if my family was okay. 

I wonder if Timothy was okay. 

I wonder why I am here.

Gideon was absolutely beautiful. It reminded me of America except everything looked like a Palace. Everything was beautiful. It was night when we arrived at the huge castle that belonged to Noah and I was at a loss for words when I laid eyes on it. There was absolutely nothing but lights surrounding the castle and there were small homes below that wrapped around the huge Palace. 

The homes belonged to the members of the pack who Noah needed to stay nearby in case of an emergency. I was snapped out of my thoughts by Noah's soft hands grabbing mines. 

"Ask away," 

"What are we?" I asked. 

"We are," Noah paused, "We are what my kind would say mates. It means we are destined to be together," 

"Why did those wild animals attack us and why are they after me?" 

"They're rogues. They're after you because they are after me. They were once members of my pack who had done wrong so as a punishment they were stripped from their titles, kicked out of my pack, and became rogues. Due to this, they hate me. Everyone in Gideon knows that I have found my mate and they know exactly who you are so when the rogues discovered the news they made it their jobs to attack you to get back at me," 

"Why would attacking me hurt you?" I asked. 

"It hurts to lose a mate. You don't understand that now because I haven't claimed you but you will understand sooner or later," 

"Claim me? How do you claim me?" 

"You'll find out," 

I sighed heavily and looked away from him, I was scared shitless. I didn't know what the f**k was happening in my life but I'd rather be back at the f*****g hotel. 

"They were sending warning signals that they were coming which explains why your Father decided to lock you away. He didn't want you hurt so he set a curfew. He wanted you in your room at 8 and Timothy is one of the best fighters besides myself so he was assigned as your personal bodyguard." 

"Is he okay?" I asked. 

"He's perfectly fine, I will let you see him in a few hours," 

"What about my family and Lucy? What about the crown?" 

Noah stood up and walked towards a box that sat on the table. He opened the box and pulled out a diamond tiara before placing it on my head, "You still have a crown and you will still be Queen but you'll be called Luna and you'll be the Queen of Gideon." Noah answered. I watched as his face slowly came closer to mine and I knew he was about to attempt to kiss me. 

"What about-" I said while looking away from him. I could tell that I pissed him off. 

"Do not worry," Noah growled before flaring his nostrils, He snatched the tiara from my head and I watched him place the beautiful crown back in the box, "Get rest," He said before walking towards the door. 

"I cannot sleep," I whispered. 

"You can and you will," Noah replied. 

Who the f**k did he think he was talking to? 

"I said I cannot sleep," I sassed. 

"Ororo, you will get in that bed and you will sleep or I will put you to sleep," 

I stared at his black eyes and nodded my head slowly. Noah turned away from me and quickly stormed out of the huge room before slamming the door behind him leaving me in the dark lost and confused.
