Chapter 11 Because of the time difference, it was already late afternoon by the time Zach dropped me off at my apartment. Having spent the last few days in close proximity to not only Zach but my family, my apartment seemed almost unbearably quiet. It hadn’t bothered me before, so bothering me now seemed particularly stupid. I turned on every light in the place, though it was wasteful and I knew it.
