A week has gone by without a glitch. The school festivies are over. And we went back to our usual schedule.
Mondays are always tough. I hate Mondays. Waking up like I had a hang over but I didn't even had a drink of an alcohol before going to bed. So I went to school like always. Hours ticked by. It seemed to take forever before the bell rings. I was seated at the back of the room. The seats are arranged in five different elevated platforms, each row has ten seats on it. So you have a perfect view of the class board also the platform in front where the teacher's table is at. Picture it as a mini colosseum. I prefer my little place there because it's peaceful for me. You get a vantage point also, you get to see everyone in the room. All the silly stuff they do. Some pass notes. Some are flirting around. Some who are not paying attention at all and just doodling in their books. And beside my area is a paneled window where you could see the corridor outside and see people passing by.
As I was listening to my professor discuss about how intricate the nervous system of the human body with his excellent drawing on the board. Something was moving at my peripheral vision. And when I looked, I saw my friend Joel from the graduating class waving his both hands at me trying to get my attention. I was amused for what he was doing. He took out a huge piece of paper that has a writing on it that says, "Cheer up baby girl. See you at the library after." After reading it, I nodded and gave him two thumbs up to signal that I agree to meet him. He was so happy and just ran towards the other end of the hall.
After class, I dropped by the library since I was actually planning to go there and return the books I borrowed for my research for my report next week. After logging in and handing over my books to the librarian. Saw Joel at the back of the library waving at me to come over. As I approached him, he looked so happy and excited.

Damn. Wish I was still single so I could f**k this girl. But damn it. I can only be her friend. She's so gorgeous and so innocent looking. She doesn't know how she's being lusted by everyone I know here. I'd give anything just so I could taste her. But I love seeing her smile. Makes me forget my problems. And it's a huge honor to see her smile like that. Those lips. Not so big, not so small. Perfect. Would love to see them around my c**k with her red lipstick. f**k. Got to focus. Focus Joel. You asked her here so you could tell her about your plans. Focus damn it. Here she comes. f**k. She smells so good. What's that perfume she uses? Is it a flower? I have to ask my wife about it. "Hi bella. Missed you. How are you?"

He seems to be on edge. He is on to his fidgety self again. Oh Joel. You so adorable and cute when you look excited. "Hi! Thanks for making that note. Was so bored with the class. I'm fine, thanks. Wazzup. You wanted to talk to me?" He seems nervous, but he tried to focus. He kept staring at my lips. What's up with this guy? Finally he looks at me with my eyes, "Oh yeah, next weekend, is going to be my birthday. I wanted to invite you and also some of your classmates that have become my friends thanks to you. Also wanted to tell you that Maros my cousin from the State came home. And I told him about you so he wanted to meet you. If that's okay with you?" He said it as if I'd refuse him. This guy must've forgotten we're friends. And I don't say no to him. I tried not to show any emotion just to torment him a little. With a passive face, I said, "You want me to attend your birthday party, with my friends and meet your cousin?" As I look at him, he holds his breath and he looks like he is ready to plead and kneel down on his knees. He closes his eyes and whispers, "Pretty please?" With a smile, I said, "Sure. No problem. Anything for you Joel. As long as there is enough booze in the party, I'm in." The look he gave me is a mix of relief and excitement. Oh Joel, always full of energy.
After talking to Joel, I took a bus going home. It takes 30 minutes before I reach my home. So I put on my earphones & tuned in to my songs. I closed my eyes for a little because I was so sleepy. Then the bus took a stop to pick up people. I wasn't paying any attention to them. Then the bus continued to move to it's route. Then I felt someone sat beside me. It seems their saying something but I couldn't hear for sure. Then that person poked my arm. I opened my eyes & saw the doctor. The doctor I saw last week. To my surprise he was there, beside me.
I removed my earphones, "Oh Hi doc! How are you? Sorry I didn't hear you. I was zoning out with my tunes. Keeps me relaxed."
He smiled, and said "It's okay. I'm sorry for disturbing you, but I just wanted to ask you why you weren't answering my messages & call?"
I remember giving him my fake number. I really don't know how to answer him. I smiled at him awkwardly. I was about to make up an excuse. But he beat me to it.
"I know you gave me a fake number. I asked your number to a friend of yours. One of your classmates. Her mom became my patient last Thursday. They were in for a quick check up. I saw her uniform & recognized her uniform & the logo of the school. So I asked her. Her name is Marjorie Canes" he said while searching for my eyes to see if I'd believe him.
"Oh Marj. Yeah. She's my classmate. Uhm, I'm sorry for not answering you. I thought you were my ex. Trying to bother me." I said, shyly. I wasn't even sure if he'll buy it hopefully he will.
"Really? An ex? Can't blame them from bothering such a beautiful woman like you." He said with a serious face.
Then the bus stops & I realized this is my stop, so I said, "Anyway doc, since now I know it's you, call me later. This is my stop. Bye." I stood & blew him a kiss. He was shocked but he quickly gained composure & he smiled.
Later that night, he did call me.
"Hello beautiful. How are you?"
"I'm a little tired. I'm in bed now. You, how about you?" I said.
"Well, I'm tired too. But I'm so happy. Because I saw the most beautiful woman i could lay my eyes upon. You."
I sat up from my bed. Couldn't believe what I was hearing. I guess this guy is just bullshitting me. I'm not sure.
"What? Really? I don't believe you." I said.
"Believe me. I couldn't stop thinking about you. I think it's fate that we saw each other again."
"Nope. I think it's just coincidence. Everyone takes that bus." I said.
"Okay, that's good. Coincidence. Fate. Destiny. Call it whatever you like. For me it's fate. Sorry for being forthright, but will you go out with me?"
I chewed on my lip. Not sure of this guy. I mean, what is stopping me from know more of this guy. Maybe he's the right guy.
"Okay, I guess." I said.
"Maybe this Friday? I know a restaurant near your school so you don't go too far. Do you like Chinese food?"
I squealed silently to my self. Of course I do. Duh. Who doesn't like Chinese food?!
"Yeah. I love Chinese food. Sure. I'll meet you there after school." I said, with a little hint of doubt.
"Perfect. I'll see you there."
We hung up after talking some more of mundane things we did today. Then I went to bed smiling like an i***t. I don't know. Maybe this is something new for me. He is a lot older than me. Maybe this time, he'll be the one to lead our relationship if there will be one. I'm tired of doing everything for my boyfriends. Taking charge of everything. When they should be the one doing it.
