Haji and I were walking to a new Japanese restaurant. I crave to eat yakisoba today with a hot pot. We were happily teasing each other when two men appeared in our sight. They wore black jackets with hoods and black masks.
“Run.” Haji whispered.
“What? I don’t want to leave you here.” I whispered too.
“Just run. I’ll be back to you when I’m done here,” he fiercely said. I grabbed his hand and I began to ran with him but another two men were waiting for us at a corner.
“What do you want?” Haji asked without fear. He calmly stood beside me. A man pointed his finger at me. “You should let us leave. We’re minors.”
The two men came near us and grabbed my left arm. I kicked him at his chest and he fell on the ground. “Don’t come near us.” I warned them. They ran away when few people saw us.
“Are you okay?” he asked. I nodded and we continued to walk to the Japanese restaurant. “Who would do something like that? Did someone had a fight with you?”
My brows met and answered, “Tamara. But I’m not saying that she did it on purpose.” I smiled at him.
“You’re still smiling even you know that you’re in danger?” He was annoyed and he entered the Japanese restaurant. I smelled the foods they were cooking and we sat near the counter.
“One ramen, one yakisoba and a hot pot,” Haji said to the waitress. I was amazed how they wore the kimono.
“I thought you’re craving for sushi?” I asked while I looked around.
“I think I should eat something that would satisfy me. Hot pot.” He chuckled. “I wish that Brother Seravy is here.”
I frowned at him. “Yes, it’s better if he tastes these Japanese foods.”
“You should invite him too.” He was teasing me.
“Him? Who?” I asked and he was tickling my side. “No, he doesn’t like spicy foods.”
“Then, eat other Japanese cuisine.” He put the sauce of his ramen and stirred it with his chospticks.
“Let me think of it.”
He took me home and we said good – byes to each other. I went happily in the house and I saw Kai sitting on the couch. I thought he was asleep at this hour. He was reading something at his cellphone and his brows met. He looked at me and he cornered me to the wall.
“What are you doing?” I asked him nervously.
“Where did you go?” he asked madly.
“I went out with Haji at a Japanese restaurant.” I answered with a questioning look. “What’s the matter with you?”
He let me see his cellphone and I saw pictures of me and Haji walking and eating at the Japanese restaurant. I could not believe about the caption.
“She’s really into him.” I read it with disbelief. I snatched his cellphone and I read a lot of comments. It seemed to be a bad day next week. What would I do? I looked at him and asked, “Why are you bothered about this?”
“Nothing.” He looked away at me. He pulled his cellphone on my hand and he started to look like mad.
“What’s the matter?” I asked curiously.
“Nothing.” He went in the bedroom with a bang sound of the door. I chuckled softly as I thought of him being jealous.
When I was done taking a shower, I remembered that he have not eaten his dinner. I tried to wake him up but he was already asleep. I looked at his calm face and to his kissable lips. I looked away to avoid remembering our kiss. I brushed his hair once and whispered, “You look an angel when you’re asleep.”
I was about to go to my bed when he grasped my hand and I fell on his chest. I closed my eyes. “You startled me.”
“Let’s sleep.” He whispered.
“I’m going to sleep on my bed.” I frowned. What was he trying to do? Wait, did he miss me sleeping beside him? I smiled secretly and I laid.
“Just sleep.” He hugged me at my back and I faced him. Then, he pulled me closer to him. I felt the warmth of his breath and his body that made me fell asleep.
As I opened my eyes, I saw him looking at me. My head was on top of his chest and I felt embarrassed. I moved quickly away from him and I saw him smiled secretly.
“Did I see you smile?” I asked him. He just looked away and fixed his shirt. “Did I really see you smile?” I teased.
“No. It’s about your face.” He smirked. My face? What happened to my face? I rushed to the mirror and I saw nothing.
It was six in the morning when he tapped my shoulder. I opened my eyes and I saw him with a furious look.
“Take a bath,” he commanded.
“Why?” I asked without hesitation. I came near him and looked at his eyes.
“We’re going somewhere you don’t like,” he said seriously.
“Where?” My brows met. He leaned on my face.
“You’ll be surprised at my family.” He looked annoyed.
“Family?” I whispered to myself. I remembered that we both had not met each other’s family. It meant something unexpected would happen today.
“Just prepare yourself,” he commanded.
“Yes!” I exclaimed as I prepared my clothes and went to the bathroom.
I chose a light blue dress. It had long sleeves with a chinese collar and its length was below my knee. I wore my two inches heels and I clipped the left side of my hair.
“Goo,.” he complimented.
“Did I hear you complimenting me?” I asked with a teasing smile.
“Nothing.” He whispered. He looked stunning at his dark blue long sleeves, black pants and black shoes. He looked handsome whatever he wore.
He drove us to a hotel suite. He offered me a seat at a dining table at the second floor of the building. May be, it was reserved for us by his family. I looked around at the place as romantic. It was calm atmosphere where I felt comfortable.
I saw him unrelaxed at his seat. He looked nervous but tend to hid it with his facial expression. I smiled at him and said, “Don’t worry.”
“I know. Just pretend like we’re really a couple,” he said seriously. He crossed his arms and he looked at the time. “Why were they late at this hour?”
“Why?”
“They were not like this. I think they planned all of this,” he murmured.
The foods were set on our table and it looked like we were dating for real. I stopped myself from smiling and I pretended to be serious. I drank the red wine as I looked at his handsome face. I know that he was not into this things but why did his family planned this?
“I think they are testing us and may be, they are looking at us now. Let’s pretend to be sweet. I’ll be gentle,” he whispered.
“Okay.” I smiled. I wonder why he was serious about it.
I intentionally spilled the sauce of the penne carbonara on my lips. He looked at me with care and wiped it with his handkerchief. I grinned at him and I began to spill it again. He stopped eating his food and I noticed that he was staring at me.
“Unbelievable.” He smirked. “You don’t have to overreact.”
I blinked three times and I wiped it. I felt embarrassed on what he said. I lowered my face, avoiding his eye contact.
I started to finish my food quickly and I went to the bathroom. What would I do? He was annoying. I think that he was making fun of me again.
“You can beat him!” I told myself at the mirror. I would not let him play with my feelings anymore.
“Mom said that they were on a business trip. So, let’s go home.” He seemed to be irritated.
“What if we go out somewhere?” I asked happily.
“Where?”
“Just come with me and I’ll show you.” I smiled at him while pulling his hand.
We walked on the streets where people were busy selling and buying goods. We passed at the bridge and I enjoyed seeing the view of a river. I felt the heat of the sun on my face and he looked away.
“Refreshing.” I whispered. “This is where I used to be when I was a kid. Every time I feel lonely, I wish that I am a bird free from any problems.”
“But you have to understand the reality that you’re suppose to live as human,” he said seriously without looking at my eyes.
“I know. It seemed to be a child’s thinking.” I grinned. “Let’s go somewhere.”
We walked to the mall and I thought of buying some cups and saucers. He was silent while I was choosing the color.
“What’s better?” I showed him the blue and light blue cups and saucers.
“Both,” he answered. So, I bought it.
I was about to pay for it but he insisted to pay. I smiled like an i***t while I was not looking at him. He was caring after all and I was happy for that.
