Time

Alexa didn't know how she got back to the mansion or how she fell asleep, but when she woke up, it was already dawn.

Her phone vibrated constantly in the palm of her hand.

The words "Marcus" on the screen were a bit dazzling.

After watching for a while, Alexa opened the screen to answer. Before she could speak, a gentle voice came from the other end of the phone, "Sister, can you come to Maria Hospital now? I'll be waiting for you in Ward 604."

It was Cassie.

After pursing her lips, Alexa still asked, even if she was humiliating himself, "Why did you use Marcus' mobile phone to call me?"

Hearing what Cassie said, she looked at Cassie i in disbelief, "You come back suddenly now because you know Marcus is fine?! Cassie, are you not afraid that Marcus will find out?"

"Find out what?" Cassie sneered, her voice soft, "My dear sister, do you think anyone knows about this? Oh, yes, you know. But only you and what if you know? If you say it, will Marcus believe you?"

Alexa felt a dull pain in her heart.

Seeing Alexa's ugly expression, Cassie's smile became sweeter and sweeter, "Sister, if you have a little sense, obediently give up Mrs. Hamilton's position, and you will be the eldest lady of the Davison family, I won't argue."

"Cassie, do you think I will continue to listen to your words which are only for your benefits?" Alexa suppressed the astringency in her eyes and looked at Cassie coldly.

"Really?" Cassie smiled mischievously then tilted her head and suddenly fell off the hospital bed.

Alexa gasped in shock the she staggered to help her only to strip as well and fall to the ground. She felt a sharp pain in her ankle.

"Cass!" Marcus didn't even give Alexa a look, he picked up Cassie and put her back on the bed, "Are you hurt anywhere?" He asked worriedly.

"Marcus, I'm fine, don't blame elder sister..." Cassie said then groaned. "Alexa cares about me very much, she must be careless."

Alexa couldn't believe what was happening.

Marcus glanced at Alexa coldly, his eyes were as sharp as a knife, "Alexa, you are still as vicious as ever! Cass is your sister!"

"I didn't!" Alexa's face was pale, "Marcus, it's her..."

"You want to say that Cass fell by herself? Just to frame you?" Marcus cut off Alexa, his face was full of mockery, "Alexa, do you think everyone is as stupid and vicious as you?"

Marcus' words were like the sharpest blade, cutting her heart into pieces. But thinking that Marcus was the young boy who she had waited for fifteen years, Alexa didn't want to give up.

She encouraged herself.

Alexa looked at Marcus, with a faint plea, "Marcus, Cassie thought that you couldn't be saved from the car accident and ran away from the marriage. Now she's back because you are all right! Trust me, Marcus."

Cassie leaned against Marcus' arms, a trace of mockery appeared in her eyes, but she sobbed: "Sister, I know you don't want to divorce Marcus, I won't compete with you for his wife position, so please don't say that about me, okay?"

"She doesn't deserve it!" Marcus looked at Alexa with disgust, and coaxed Cassie with a soft voice, "My wife's position can only be yours."

Alexa's eyes narrowed slightly.

It was because she was so naive that she still thought that maybe he would believe her.

Between Cassie and her, he will only trust Cassie.

After all, she was the one who viciously bullied Cassie, and Cassie was pure and kind, how could she compare?

"Get out, don't come back here." Marcus looked at Alexa's dejected appearance, feeling irritable for no reason.

With a self-deprecating smile, Alexa stood up, her ankle was in severe pain, and dhe was leaping.

Behind her, Cassie pretended to be worried, "Marcus, my sister's foot seems to be hurt..."

"Let her die." Marcus' indifferent voice shattered Alexa's last line of defense and burst into tears.
