Meera tossed and turned, but sleep refused to come.

She had spent years building walls around her heart, convinced that love was just another way to get hurt. And yet—Aarav stood outside those walls, not trying to break them down, but simply waiting.
Patient. Unshaken.
The memory of his voice still echoed in her ears.
"Take your time. I’ll be here."
Meera sat up, sighing.
This was ridiculous.
She had spent days avoiding him. But the truth? He had been with her all along. In her thoughts, in her heartbeat, in the way she suddenly found herself staring at her phone, wondering if he would text.
And he hadn’t.
Not once.
Because he meant what he said.
Aarav wasn’t chasing her. He was letting her decide.
That realization hit differently.

It was choice.
And for the first time, Meera wanted to choose him.

"Meera?" His voice was hoarse from sleep. "What are you—"
"I can’t sleep," she whispered.
Aarav ran a hand through his hair, trying to wake up fully. "So you came here?"
Meera nodded. "Yes."
Silence stretched between them.
Then, his lips curled into that slow, knowing smile. "Well… do you want to come in?"
Meera hesitated for half a second before stepping inside.
And just like that, something shifted.
Because love didn’t always arrive with grand confessions and fireworks.
Sometimes, it was as simple as choosing to stay.
