Almost Perfect

10 - Alone

I slowly opened my eyes. I woke up because of the alarm of my cellphone. My head still hurts. Its good that Chadd allowed me to go home otherwise I might still be in the hospital until now.

I message Sam and ask her if she will go to school now. She replied no because she had not been released from the hospital.

I put my phone down on the side and I stared at the ceiling and smiled. I thought hospital is a boring place to stay with, but I have Sam. Not only that, but I also met her mom, and she is so beautiful.

I got up from the bed, but I stopped when I saw the door of my room slowly open I just stared at it and waited for someone to came in, its either my brother or my mom.

"Why are you up?"

"To take a shower?" I answer him with a question. Did he forgot that its monday today.

"You need to rest"

"Later after school" I pout to him, he raised an eyebrow at me.

"Let's have a deal" he approached me, so I backed away, so I was out of balance when I hit the bed, so I sat down it was good that the bed was soft if not its really hurt.

"Deal?" I asked him when he knelt in front of me.

"Tell me everything"

"About what?" He is so weird today.

"If you feel anything like pain, out of breath, or what. Text me, ok?" He used his sweet voice to say that. He smiled at me and hold my hands. "Deal?"

I just nodded and smiled at him. He stood up, and he kissed my forehead before leaving my room. I sighed before getting up to take a bath.

After I took a bath I did not get dressed my uniform yet. I wore a home clothes first, it was still early to get dressed. I went downstairs and found Chadd preparing a table. I approached him to help but he hold my shoulders to make me sit on the chair he pulled. I just didn't argue with him because I knew he will win in the end.

This guy really driving me crazy. I'm a girl but he doesn't allowed me to do chores except from cleaning my room and folding my own clothes.

"Good morning" I smiled at mom approaching. I hugged her when she approached.

"Good morning mom" I smiled as she kissed me on the cheek.

"Are you sure you want to go to school now?" I nodded at her. She looked at Chadd so I looked too.

He is still setting the table. He felt maybe we were looking, so he stopped and looked at us "What?" He asked. We shook our heads at him at the same time.

After we ate, Chadd make me go upstairs to get ready because I was slow, so I always go first between the two of us.

I already wore a uniform. I also combed and finished my ponytail. I also check my bag before getting off. I caught mom watching in the living room I hugged her and said goodbye, she kissed me.

I found Chadd waiting outside while leaning against the car. He smiled at me as I approached before he opened the door for me.

"Can we go to the hospital later?" I asked him after he entered, so he looked at me, he also stopped from what he is doing.

"Are you not feeling well?" He touched my forehead. "You have a fever" I also touched my forehead when he left his hand. He is right I'm a bit hot, but I don't feel like I have a fever.

"Im good"

"You're not" I sighed and smiled. I don't want to argue with him "I'm fine Chadd. I want to visit Sam later that's why I want to go"

"Is that all?" I nodded at him. He sighed deeply before nodding. "Don't forget our deal"

"Of course" I smiled at him.

When we arrived at the school I did not feel like going in. I remember that Sam will not here today, so it seems like today is boring its Monday but I feel like I look like a zombie who is very tired of life.

When I arrived in the room we were almost half full. I quietly entered and went to my seat. I put my bag on Sam's chair. She will not go today so no one will sit in her chair.

It was too early for our first subject, so I used my cellphone first. I was just browsing the t****k. I'm so glad that there is Wi-Fi in our room.

After a few minutes our professor came in, so I hid my phone in my bag. I grabbed the chair in front of me as I stood up. I felt dizzy. It's a good thing that the owner of the chair didn't notice because he was also standing, he probably didn't feel it.

I survive. I reached the break time. I'm hungry I want to buy a something, but I'm lazy. Sam is not here so, I don't feel going to canteen today. I sighed before I looked at my phone.

'Are you ok?' Chadd text me.

'I'm fine, don't worry :))' I put a smiley face to convince him. I hope he believes. I will not mention my dizziness earlier just because maybe it was because of my sudden erection. I am no longer dizzy, and I feel nothing now.

"Audrey" I looked at my classmate calling me. He was at the door, I smiled at him "Someone is looking for you"

Who is that? Chadd and I just talked, so it was impossible that it was him.

I stood up and approached the person who called me "Thank you" I smiled at him, and he also smiled at me before his friends called him. I also heared them teasing the guy who called me earlier.

"Audrey?" I turned to the woman who called me. I smiled at her.

"Yes"

"Someone is this to you" she handed me a paper bag and I took it immediately.

"From whom?" I ask "I don't know, but he said I will give it to you"

"I'm sorry to bother you about that but thank you" she smiled at me and said goodbye. She's cute. She just look a little shy.

I looked at the paper bag and shook it a little. It probably won't explode, right? When I looked around our classroom, I smiled when I found out I was alone in the room. They all went out for break time. The great thing is when Sam is here, and then we also go out that's means no one is left in the room.

I walked back to my seat. I'm still wondering who sent it, and he even disturbed other people. He just won't give it to me directly. Is that really a guy? Is he my secret admirer? So he was ashamed to give it to me.

As I sat in my chair I saw my phone glow. I read Chadd's name on the screen of my phone.

I sighed and returned my attention to the paper bag. There is nothing written outside if this is really for me or where it from. I didn't ask if she was just making a mistake, I'm not the only one with the name Audrey here at school.

I removed the folding of the top of the paper bag and opened it slowly. I opened it a little to see what was inside, I have trust issue about this, maybe it was a prank that someone just wanted to prank me.

With the smallness of my opening and the darkness I could see nothing, so I leaned over and leaned back in my chair. I picked up my phone and looked at Chadd's message.

'We'll be out sooner later. I will wait you in the parking lot '

I nodded at what he said. I decided not to reply him. I put my phone down on Sam's desk and looked again at the paper bag lying on my desk. I was holding my stomach, I was starving.

I sighed and put my hand in the paper bag. It's a good thing there are no people in the room because they can mistake me for being a crazy or what when they saw what I'm going doing.

I feel something. I felt sharp, and then I touched it I heard it was plastic. I picked it up and took it out of the paper bag.

I covered my mouth for what I saw. This is my favorite bread. This is what can be buy in SM or pure gold its a long bread with feelings inside. It also my favorite feeling inside.

Maybe this paper bag contains foods in it. I smiled a lot, and I was not disappointed when I opened the paper bag and peeked inside. There is different foods inside and all of them are my favorite. While I was chewing the bread I took earlier I couldn't help but stare somewhere and think. Who could have sent it?

While I was eating one by one of my classmates came. I looked at the time. 10 mins before the next subject. I swallowed my bread and drank the milk tea that included in the paper bag package.

There are only two that possible give me this. Its Chadd because he knows that Sam is not with me, he knows that I am shy in socializing or its Sam that she knows I have no friends other than her to accompany me so, she give me this.

Between the two of them Chadd has a greater chance. Sam is in the hospital. She also a transferee like me, she doesn't know anyone here unlike Chadd he can order anyone specially girls, I think almost every girl here is his fangirls.

I finished my food and waited to our next subject teacher. I'm glad that I already finished when he come in.

After my two subject I texted Chadd that im on my way. He replied with 'alright'. When I got in the parking lot he opened his window to tell me to get in. When I get in he check me from head to toe.

"What?" I asked.

"You good?"

"Yeah" I smiled. I put my seat belt and close my eyes. I'm dizzy again. I don't want him to be worried. Even there is a deal between us I won't tell him about this.

"Are you really fine?" I opened my eyes and looked at him.

"Yes"

We go to the bakery shop first before to the hospital. I remembered that Sam wants to eat cake so I will got her one. I will end this day with Sam smile on her face. I'm so thankful that I have her.
