Chapter Four
Adam’s wedding was scheduled for 1000 hours Christmas Eve morning. Everyone who was participating in the service was expected to be at the church a half-hour prior. When Julia and I pulled up in front of the church, the bride (Cathleen) and her parents were also arriving. I escorted Julia into the church and walked her down the aisle to the pews designated for friends. I walked back up the aisle and took a position just inside the door. A friend from Adam’s office took up another position just opposite me. We took turns escorting the women down the aisle and seating them in the proper pews.
