Good morning Jane. Still pissed about the men in black taking your phone away?- Said Inspector Davis with his usual monocordic voice and stiff face.-Good morning, sir With all...- Take a seat- he said as he pointed to one of the chairs across his desk.-With all due respect, sir. My name is Jeanne, not Jane.- Same oh, same oh. You say potatoe, I say patato, Jane.- As always, he was getting under her skin. He handed her a brown envelope.-They said all the photos were deleted and I...well...I am warning you again about being a smart arse. What were you doing out on that field?- Eric was my partner, Sir! I had to see it.-Jane, you know damn well that you can't go inside a crime scene before it's been cleared by CSI. Pull a stunt like that again and I'll get you suspended. And I don't want you anywhere near this case. Are we clear?- Yes sir, Inspector, sir! - Good. That will be all, Detective.
She was pissed that they made her come all the way across the city to Manhattan just to be read the riot act by the brass. This made one thing clear to her: There was something important about that angel. Also, her partner had just disappeared and they wanted her to forget about it. Something wasn't right. She hadn't gone home last night, but she needed to go to the precinct and take a peek into Eric Green's desk. And she had to do it fast. Before this three letter agency got there. She got on to her Jeep and tried to call her wife Sonja. The answering machine asked he to leave a message. Jeanne tried a couple of times more and then gave up, focusing her mind on the problem at hand. What the hell had happened to those warehouses? Were did all that brick and mortar go? Why was there no trace of the buildings? And what was that ozone smell about?
It took her over an hour to get to Precinct 104 and as she approached the door, she had a feeling that she was going to be read the riot act again, this time, by her Captain. As she got in the lobby, Chatam goes by her.- Captain Barr is looking for you.- Do I want to go in there? Or do you suggest I take a hike?- Chatam stops and turns around.- He's not in a bad mood, if that's what you want to know.- Ok, I'll take my chances. Thanks Chatam.- By the way, nice shirt- he said- I can see you like it a lot. It's the same you had on yesterday.- He laughed.-Smart ass.

Hook--- The file on the two dead hookers was on Green's desk. Photo of the camper van next to the warehouse.
