As I looked around, I realized any plan of escaping was futile. I abandoned the idea already, but seeing how densely packed into the mountains we were in made me realize I had no idea what I would have gotten myself into had I set out on foot.   I imagined jumping out of the car and tearing the tracker from my arm, only to get so miserably lost in the woods I’d be hoping Adrian would find me.   “How are we going to know where we’re going?” I could read a map in theory but I grew up in the age of cell phones.
