Wholesome clean 1st person POV

I breathe hard. I am running to the gate to be let out to the buses. I can't believe how early Ms. Dickenson let us out. "I'm not gonna run." Kyle sighs. He is breathing very fast and I'm a little concerned so I let up. "You okay?" I ask patting his back lightly. "Yeah." He smiles. "Ah shoot! The gate is open!" I flip around and sprint to the gate. Kyle follows and we burst through the gate. There is no one around. We look and see a few teachers. Nathan looks at me and grins. I'm not sure why. Kyle yells, "I'll call you later! Not you Nathan!" I laugh. I look around for my bus with Nathan by my side. A teacher looks at us. "Why are you guys out? It's not time to leave." She glares at us. Nathan steps toward her and says with a little too rude to talk to a teacher with voice. "Ms. Dickenson told us to go." I wave at him rolling my eyes. He always does this. He is a little too hot-headed. I walk around craning my neck to see the bus numbers. By now I've looked at every bus and I don't know where mine is. The beautiful bus. With nice seats to sleep in. I'm so tired. I hope Jonah sits with me. I follow 2 girls around looking for the bus. We finally find it because our bus driver was standing outside of it, calling out names. Apparently, our original bus had some problem so we were using a different bus. I get on and sit. A few minutes later Jonah gets on. He sits down and starts talking and laughing with the smaller kids. I don't really know why since he's so much older. A bunch of kids start asking him for gum. Since I wanted some I sat up and asked if I could have some. He throws one at me. I don't think he understands how happy this makes me. I have liked him for a while and he chose to only give me gum! I know it's not a big deal but it makes me so happy. I fold up the wrapper into a heart. I lean over the seat to give it to him. "Well, I, my friend showed me how to make it so..." I blush a little and jump back into my seat without looking at him. "She gave me a heart!" he yells. I think he might like me back!!
