“WHY ISN’T IT WORKING?!?!” I hear a loud, angry voice yelling not too far from me, and I have to suppress cringing at the invasive sound. Considering my head feels like it is splitting apart, it takes quite the effort.
“I-I-I don’t k-k-know A-Alpha” another voice stammers back, the fear evident in her voice. I wonder where I am and what is going on, but I am not foolish enough to try to open my eyes. It’s better if they think I am still out cold. That being said, I need to make sure my heart rate doesn’t pick up. They will be able to tell I am faking it in no time.
Not only is my head throbbing in pain, but so is the rest of my body. And predominantly – my neck.
