“Good” I gulp, unable to form a more coherent sentence.
She nods, before starting “OK, well, the good news is that his vitals are perfectly fine. He is just asleep”. My heart floats from the pit it was in, and I let out the breath I was holding. Thank the goddess.
“That’s good. So, what is the bad news?” I frown, thinking about what could possibly be the bad news considering his vitals are OK.
“The bad news is, I don’t know why he is passed out asleep. The checks I did should have woken him up, even in a slow-wave sleep. How long ago did he fall asleep?”.
